Our Parks staff is excited to announce the completion of the Community Recreation Center second phase renovation!

The entire second floor has been fully updated with new flooring and lighting, an updated cardio fitness area and a stretch area. The locker rooms have received a full renovation with enhanced amenities such as Dyson hair dryers, and the coffee lounge has reopened and includes new furniture and decor.

The overall project – which also updated the lobby, Kids Zone, 9,100-square-foot fitness area, meeting rooms and indoor basketball courts – has created a sleek new interior. All community members are invited to visit and tour the facility, and full-access memberships start at only $15 per month.

DENTON DRIVE LIVE!

Saturday, April 15 | 6-10 p.m.

The Grove at Mustang Station

The award-winning concert series, Denton Drive Live!, will kick off its fourth season with ZZ Tex, followed by Seger System!

Denton Drive Live! features the hottest live music in DFW from April to July. Each concert is free and includes free kids activities such as face painting and balloon artists. Food, beer and wine are available for purchase.

Bring your kite and enjoy an afternoon soaring in the park’s meadow. Take home free instructions on how to make your own kite.

FISHIN’ FUN

Gather up the kids for a morning of fishing and outdoor fun!

Rawhide Creek will be stocked with over a ton of farm-raised catfish and bluegill, and prizes will be awarded in three age categories. For more information, visit farmersbranchtx.gov/fishinfun.

BULK PICKUP Week

During Bulk Pickup Week, April 3-7, the Green Grabber will pick up bulk items such as furniture, large appliances, and other items that cannot be placed in a garbage bag. Visit farmersbranchtx.gov/brushbulky for more information.

City Projects

The City website has new pages to better explain the status of the most prominent public projects, such as new construction and renovations. This includes various parks, The Branch Connection and the Justice Center.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail … Bunny Cake! Students will learn the basics of cake decorating, including buttercream techniques and fondant accents, in this adorable class. Each child will decorate and take home a small multi-layer bunny cake. Register at farmersbranchliving.com.
