CITY of MONTGOMERY MN Water – Wastewater Maintenance Technician The City of Montgomery has an opening and is accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker, Water – Wastewater position with the Public Utilities Department. This is a full-time position and requires a working knowledge of operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater treatment plant. This work includes performing maintenance on various pumps, mixers, clarifiers, oxidation ditched, digesters, water treatment components, jetting and televising sewers, troubleshooting issues and the related duties. Also includes assisting as needed in the maintenance of streets including patching and snow and ice control. The ability to lift and carry heavy objects, crawl, stand, bend, reach, climb, and manipulate tools and objects requiring manual dexterity. Duties will include snow removal in the winter and related tasks.

This position is covered by union agreement and subject to random drug testing. Minimum requirements: high school graduation, GED or equivalent; valid CDL class B with Air Brake endorsement or ability to obtain one within six (6) months of hire. Preferred - One (1) year of experience in the maintenance and repair of pumps and pump motors. Snowplowing experience. Class D water and wastewater license within 1 year of hire.

Compensation is between $21.97 - $25.26 depending on qualifications.
