Summer Playtown Program

This summer recreational program is for children ages 5-12 The program includes indoor and outdoor games, projects and activities in a safe, supervised and structured setting All programs held in the warming houses Children must be toilet trained before attending (no pull-ups allowed) All participants must bring daily: sunscreen, water bottle (labeled with name), adequate and nutritional lunch & beverage (no lunchables or soda).

• For carpooling purposes, you may request to play with two other individuals. These two individuals must also request to play with you, register for the same level and list the same school. This procedure only applies to registrations received by the registration deadline.

• All players need a mouth guard.

• Times vary between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. for practice and games, both last approximately one hour.

Emails are sent out a week before the program starts. Email includes information about what team your child is on.

Due to the size of this program, we need many volunteer coaches. Typically, parents are the volunteer as coaches for this program.

You do not have to be a football expert to become a volunteer coach. The volunteer coach’s primary role is to be a positive role model and help the players to have a fun, positive experience. To become a volunteer coach, please specify on your child’s registration form.

I release the Fargo Park District and its agents and employees from any such claims and I agree to indemnify and hold the Fargo Park District, its agents and employees harmless from any claims by any of the minors listed above arising out of or in any way related to the event. The persons executing the Release and Indemnity Agreement above hereof understand that the event may be videotaped or photographed and agree to such images and further agree that images will be the sole property of the Fargo Park District and may be used for advertising and promotional use without notice to or consent of a participant, parent, or guardian and that any revenue derived there from shall be solely that of the Fargo Park District.

It is the policy of the Fargo Park District that no individual 18 years and younger that is a current resident of the City of Fargo for at least 90 days and lives within the corporate limits of the City of Fargo, shall be denied participation in general recreation programs due to financial inability to pay the program fees

Income Eligibility Guidelines And Philosophy

• To be eligible for this program, the Fargo Park District must receive a completed scholarship application, income verification AND a program registration form prior to registration deadline

• Eligibility will follow the federal lunch assistance program guidelines Each child may be eligible to receive one per season
