4.5.9 Malay Artist Award

Datuk Aziz Sattar was honoured with Malay Artist Award at the special ceremony while officially casted by one of the malaysian television channel, Astro Awani. This award specially for him because of his noble contribution to the Malay Film Industries since the last golden age of Jalan Ampas Studio.

4.5.10 Order of Meritorious Service (Datuk)

In 2007, Datuk Aziz Sattar received a great reward for his lifetime achievement as Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) award that carries the title “Datuk”. This was acknowledged by Malaysian people and accepted officially by the Malaysian Film Industry.

4.5.11 Malaysian Veteran Artist Award

Datuk Aziz Sattar received an award in Malaysian Veteran Artist Honoured for his astounding and legendary contribution and acting in all his films that certainly increased the rating of Malay Film back in the day. The history of the legendary trio that included Datuk Aziz Sattar back in the Jalan Ampas Studio was still the best.

4.5.12 Datuk Aziz Sattar Reopen P.Ramlee’s Memorial

Datuk Abdul Aziz Sattar also became a part of National Archive to reopen a P.Ramlee memorial and museum in 2002 and it shows the noble move from him. This

was really appreciated by many as the memorial discovered the untold story about P.Ramlee and all thanks to Datuk Aziz Sattar.

The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) was set up a memorial space to pin an honour for Datuk Aziz Sattar in 2019.

4.5.14 Datuk Aziz Sattar Cameo

Datuk Aziz Sattar once made a debut as a cameo in Malaysian animated series “Upin & Ipin”. The staff of Les Copaque Studio also shared some precious moments during on set work in the studio.

5.0 CONCLUSION

To summarise, Dato Aziz Sattar was a saviour for the Malaysian Film Industry in the 80s and soaring the Malay film to the top. He was a mentor to all legendary Malay actors that we know to this day. He was remembered by many including the golden age of Jalan Ampas Studio. He is a valuable veteran Malaysian artist who has played a significant role in elevating our country's films to a higher level of international recognition. At the same time, he contributed to bring all the P. Ramlee films back to life to ensure that the older generation does not forget about the P. Ramlee films and always remembers all the hard work that was put in to make people laugh while also providing them with a moral lesson through the story. Even though Dato Aziz Satar has stated that becoming a great director, such as his friend P Ramlee, is not easy, the outcome and the results of his efforts will undoubtedly make his friends and colleagues proud of him. He also has given so much thought and lesson by guiding the young generation to create a quality film.

Datuk Aziz Sattar’s life journey has given so much inspiration to Malaysians, especially for the filmmaking industry. His contribution and all of his good deeds are remembered by the Malaysians even though he has already passed away. He is also the person who witnessed the evolution of the film industry and the precious germ for Malaysia. Hopefully, from all of his guidance, the film industry will continue to strive and improve from time to time to provide more quality films to all Malaysian audiences.
