Active Learning Over the past two decades, colleges and universities have moved from a traditional lecture style of teaching to an active learning approach that engages students in their education. Fanning Howey has been at the forefront of this trend, working with clients to design new facilities and reimagine old spaces to support this change in pedagogy. Our designers are skilled at creating active learning environments which can change over time. We combine space planning, architecture, interior design and technology to create engaging places for students and faculty.
