Allow time for parking. Finding a spot to park your ride can be a challenge, especially if you delay. Leave the dorm early to avoid being late to class on your very first day. Remember you never get a second chance to make a first impression. While around campus and along the school’s Orr Drive, please drive slowly and safely. And avoid the drama by not parking in numbered or reserved spaces because you’ll be ticketed or towed.
Check Canvas for messages and notifications from your instructors. Canvas is our course management system that allows us to post information, assignments and grades online. Don’t be the one to miss out on receiving important updates by not enrolling in the platform. Don’t worry, be happy. The first day and week of the semester may give you a few butterflies – new classes, professors, expectations, roommates, etc. – but rest assure you will soon settle in. Ask for help when you need it. Your professors, directors, administrators, and support team are here for you!
