Volunteers

It had been our hope at the start of this fiscal year to bring our direct-service volunteers back on-site. Due to our congregate living setting, and to reduce risk of COVID-19 affecting our services, we have continued to keep our volunteer program on hold.

FTP leadership was fortunate to continue working with the members of our board of directors and finance committee (virtually) throughout the pandemic. The commitment of these volunteers to the safety of the women and children we serve and the preservation of our essential programs and services throughout this crisis has been remarkable. We are truly grateful for the many men and women who make up these committees, and for the many community members who have done what they could to support us from afar. As a token of our appreciation, we recognized the efforts of our non-direct service volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 18-24, 2021).

We’d also like to thank all of those who have reached out to us to offer their help during such a strange and challenging time, and we hope that we can expand our work together, very soon.
