[New] Pocklington Prep School’s Curiosity Project
The recent introduction of Pocklington Prep School’s revolutionised curriculum, ‘The Curiosity Project’, goes from strength to strength with the aim of enabling children to expand their critical thinking skills through a structured and creative enquirybased approach.
From the youngest pupils investigating ‘What makes a home?’ to Year 6 learners exploring the concept of dominance, the Curiosity Project encourages and provides the children with opportunities to connect with ideas and explore them at a deeper level.

Learners may start to examine their Curious Question as a marine biologist; during another week they will act as archaeologists examining the past. Underpinned by the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skills, the questions are designed to be broad and thought provoking, but also linked to the prior learning and existing interests of a class.
Pupils enjoy the creative element of answering questions in a variety of different ways and from different viewpoints, which offer them a glimpse into a range of further education and career opportunities from a young age.
