What is futsal? Futsal is a 5-a-side soccer game known for it’s skill and entertainment value. The likes of Ronaldinho Gaucho and kaka are known to have sprouted from a futsal background––a free spirited and flair driven game.

With over 23,000 registered teams in the country. • In Italy there are 4 million registered futsal players, compared to 1.1 million football players. • In Spain 20% of the population (47 million population in 2015) play futsal. • In Japan there are 35,000 registered futsal referees. • In Australia there is more regular participation in futsal than in rugby.
