Penguin classes

Suitable for ages 4 ½ – 6 years, starting at the basics.

Polar bear classes

Following on to the penguin’s class, where the kids can further develop their skills.

Beginner classes

We welcome all ages into our beginner classes, whether you fancy trying your hand (or feet!) at skiing or snowboarding.

Skills classes

We offer a variety of courses for those wanting to improve their skills to level 2 onwards, as well as classes that target specific turns and moves that are sure to impress any audience. Private lessons are also available on request throughout the holiday period.

Activity week (22nd – 26th July, time: 9.15 – 4.45)

Allows kids who have never been before to learn the basics of skiing and snowboarding, allowing them to progress to a level where they can come along and practice on their own. Give us a ring for more information.

Looking for a different kind of fun to occupy the kids this summer?

Handy info

At what age can my children start?

The centre caters for children from 3 years upwards (smallest boot is a size 7). Our ‘Penguin’ classes for ages 4 and a half to 6 years and our main Junior classes start at 7 years old.

Do I need lessons?

If you can turn, stop and use the ski tow in good control of your speed then you are welcome to use the slope to practice. However if you can’t meet the minimum ability standard, not to worry – you can take lessons with us until you can ski safely without guidance.

Newcomers: Please allow 30 minutes before your lesson to allow for fitting of equipment

What do I need to bring?

Returning customers: Please allow 15 minutes before your lesson

Gloves, long sleeves and trousers are essential. During the summer months (when we are lucky) it is advisable to wear sunscreen, sunglasses and a peaked hat. Waterproof trousers and a jacket are also recommended. All ski and snowboard equipment can be provided if required.

How do I get there?

Leave the M9 motorway at Junction 4 and then follow signposts for Ski Centre/Golf Course.

Follow the road straight into the Golf Course car park. Alternatively, there is access from the A905 Wholeflats road across the small bridge.
