Polar bears and penguins welcome!

What we offer Penguin Classes Suitable for ages 4 ½ – 6 years, starting with the basics, from putting on skis and boots to skiing down the hill in a basic snowplough.

Polar Bear Classes Suitable for ages 4 ½ - 6 years, following on from the Penguins, introducing you to turns.

Skills Classes We offer a variety of courses for those wanting to improve their skills from level 3 onwards, as well as classes that target specific turns and moves. Those progressing further can join our race training classes. Private lessons are also available throughout the holiday period.

Snowboard Level 1 Suitable for age 8+, you’ll learn all the basics from how to put boots and a board on, straight running and toe and heel slides.

Playscheme This is a supervised practice session suitable for ages 4 ½ to 17.

All skiers must be at Level 3 or above.

Tubing Join us on our slope, grab a rubber ring and away you go. Open to all ages, our tubing sessions are a great way to spend some quality time with the family. Tubing makes a fun birthday party too.

Handy information At what age can my children start?

The Centre caters for children from age 3 upwards (smallest boot size is a 7). Our Penguins classes are for ages 4 ½ to 6 and our main junior classes start at age 7.

Do I need lessons?

If you can stop, turn and use the ski tow in good control of your speed then you are welcome to use the slope to practice. However, if you can’t meet the minimum ability standard, you can take lessons with us until you can ski safely without guidance.

Newcomers – please allow 30 minutes before your lessons to allow fitting of equipment.

Returning customers – please allow 15 minutes before your lesson.

What do I need to bring?

Gloves, long-sleeved top and trousers are essential. During the summer months (when we are lucky!) it is advisable to wear sunscreen and sunglasses. Waterproof trousers and jacket are also recommended. All ski and snowboard equipment can be provided if required.

How do I get there?

Leave the M9 motorway at Junction 4 and then follow signposts for Ski Centre/Golf Course.

Follow the road straight into the Golf Course car park. Alternatively, there is access from the A905 Wholeflats Road across the small bridge.
