Simene’ Walden, widely known as The Student Teacher, is an Award-Winning Educator, Top Youth Speaker, New Teacher Consultant, and International Amazon Bestselling author. With over 20 years in public education—ten of which she’s been honored as a distinguished educator—Simene’ has consistently served underserved urban and rural communities with excellence and compassion.
In April 2024, Simene’ received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her unwavering commitment to service and educational impact. She’s also a spoken word artist and prayer warrior who released her debut prayer single, “Exalted,” under Todd Dulaney and DulaneyLand Music in 2022.

Simene’ leads the “Saving Our Children” School Tour, equipping students and educators with tools for social-emotional learning, trauma-informed care, healthy relationships, and character development. Her mission is to help educators and leaders see their worth beyond their work and recognize the power of their influence beyond instruction.
As the founder of a national prayer movement for the academic system, Simene’ began weekly calls in 2016 and launched daily Facebook Live prayers in 2017. Her efforts have covered thousands of schools and over 50,000 students, families, and educators in prayer. Her goal for the 2025–2026 school year: 1 million students and educators covered in prayer.
Simene’ has been featured on Good Morning Washington, FOX 40, ABC 21, FOX 43, Voyage Magazine, and Unity Gospel Radio. She has worked with national organizations including The Delta Research and Educational Foundation, Bethune-Cookman University, Palm Beach State College, North Carolina Council For Exceptional Children, Association for Middle Level Education/ Hawai’i State Department of Education Oahu Middle Grades Summit, Black Educators Rock, Black Women Educator Leaders, and 100 Black Men of America to name a few.
