READ MORE: Repair and Utilization of Ziga Building
Article by: Hanna Nakamura (News Writer)
Due to severe typhoons and calamities, as well as it being unused during the pandemic, the Ziga Building had a lot of damage and is not being used by students at the moment. Moreover, They plan to use it again for Science Technology Engineering (STE) students this School Year 2023-2024.
The repair started on October 23, 2022, up until now. It is reported to be in use by August 29, 2023, and is almost completed and good-as-new as of now.
Mrs. Ellaine Park said that there are enough funds and materials provided to finish the renewing of the building as well as change the pieces of equipment inside every classroom. For example are chairs, tables, and blackboards.
Students also demand to induce better ventilation due to a large number of reported cases of nosebleeding, fainting, hyperventilation, etc. which are caused by the heat level, especially in the months of April-June.
With the hopes of being able to finish the repair of the building on time, the school is also working on the schedule which could be affected by the lack of classrooms and facilities.
