FHAOI 2025 House Decorating Contest FHAOI

announced that we were holding the 2025 House Decorating Contest for Fairways with an insert in the December Eagle along with information on the weekly Facebook slides. The Board had the pleasure of sightseeing throughout the neighborhood on several different nights, and many neighbors really went all out! It made narrowing down to three choices rather difficult. With that in mind, we are also sharing a list of honorable mentions (or runners up) from the contest. The three winners who received a $50 Visa gift card each and a sign in their yard (just house addresses, no names as that wasn’t what it was about) were:
Most Colorful – 2003 Braeburn Ct • Most Traditional – 14225 Oak Valley Dr (you see most of it off Pebble Beach right next to the Greenbrier) • Best Use of Inflatables – 1752 Inverar
Celebrating the Season!
Following are our compilation of worthy contenders for honorable mentions (in no particular order): 1668 Cedar Ridge Dr, 14568 Maidstone, 14646 Pebble Beach, 14201 Wingfoot (corner of Port Marnock), 14387 Spyglass, 2038 Pebble Beach, 2109 Pebble Beach, 14316 Pebble Beach, 14460 Augusta, 14602 Firestone, 14437 Augusta, 1913 Augusta, 14101 Wexford Ct, 2168 Congressional. We hope many residents were able to go see these beautifully decorated houses and yards. Thank you to all of you who took the time to decorate and undoubtedly bring smiles and joy to many people for the holidays. FHAOI wishes everyone a wonderful new year in 2026, and we will hold another contest in December 2026! Something I want to bring to your attention - we rode around after dark to see all the homes, and we often had great difficulty seeing or even finding the house number. I mention this from a safety perspective as we know how often fire trucks and ambulances are called to Fairways. Please consider investing in house numbers that light up at night or at least are reflective and easily seen from the street. Happy New Year!
