ADMITTED STUDENT EVENT Fairfield

SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2026
Welcome to Fairfield University!
It is my great pleasure to greet you as you join us for Fairfield in Focus, our admitted student day, and I am grateful that you have chosen to spend this important day with us.
Whether this is your first visit to our campus or a return to learn more, we are certain that today will offer meaningful insight into what makes Fairfield such a distinctive place to learn and to grow. Our faculty, administrators, and students are eager to share with you the academic rigor, sense of purpose, and spirit of community that define the Fairfield experience.
We encourage you to take full advantage of your time with us—to walk our campus, to hear directly from a faculty member about the intellectual engagement that takes place in our classrooms, and to explore the many clubs, programs, and services that support our students’ personal and professional development. Each conversation and experience is an invitation to imagine yourself as part of this community.
Of course, a single day can offer only a glimpse of what your years at Fairfield will hold. A Fairfield education is shaped over time—through relationships with faculty and peers, through reflection and service, and through a shared commitment to learning guided by our Jesuit tradition. It is that journey, both challenging and transformative, that we hope you will begin to envision today. I look forward to welcoming you this afternoon at our closing reception in Bellarmine Hall—a place rich with history and meaning. It is here that Fairfield University first began to take shape, and it is here that many of you will one day mark the completion of your studies at Commencement in 2030.
Thank you for being with us today. May your time at Fairfield in Focus deepen your understanding of the opportunities that await you here and inspire you with a clear sense of the intellectual, personal, and spiritual growth that a Fairfield education offers.
With warm regards,
Mark R. Nemec, PhD President Fairfield University
