BOUNCING BACK TO BUSINESS
It’s been a busy first quarter for the centre with the opening of the highly anticipated Fairfield City HQ (FCHQ) at the old library site, and the return of Wonderful Wednesday and other street activation programs for 2022. FCHQ is open for business, providing business start ups, entrepreneurs and established small to medium sized businesses with access to affordable office space and resources. The facility is fitted out with topof-the-line green screen and video/sound production technology; making producing a quality promotional video, or recording an ad or podcast in the studio possible. In addition to this, FCHQ provides ongoing business events like mentoring, workshops, and onsite business advisory services, as well as opportunities for like-minded business people to collaborate and learn from each other. Head to fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/FCHQ to learn more. March was NSW Small Business Month, and to celebrate, FCHQ hosted a series of events to support, upskill and connect our small business community. I hope you had the chance to drop in and learn about the services and possibilities at this great facility. February saw the return of the Wonderful Wednesday street activation program for 2022 and Mrs Bunny will be making an appearance at Ware, Spencer and Smart streets, including Thomas Ware Plaza on Thursday 14 April between 11.30am – 1.30pm ahead of Easter. In May we celebrate Mother’s Day as well as the city centre’s major event Culinary Carnival – a three-week long multicultural food bonanza attracting visitation to the centre, so mark your calendars! Lastly, we’re excited to announce that Fairfield City Centre has launched on Instagram. Be sure to follow us @fairfieldcitycentre for the latest news from our business community, upcoming events, and important projects happening around the centre.
