FAIRCAPE FOCUS Where People, Purpose and Progress Meet. Your Bi-Monthly Look at the Heartbeat of Our Group

The end of the year is a good time to reflect and acknowledge the people that help keep Faircape moving forward. The last quarter comes with its fair share of pressure, and deadlines before the final push before the festive season. It also gives us space to pause, take stock, and celebrate the commitment of our staff, who show up every day, across every facility, and every department. This is the final Faircape Focus for 2025, and it is all about appreciating the hard work and dedication of our teams, as well as celebrating the meaningful moments that defined 2025.

As always, Faircape Focus celebrates milestones, welcomes new colleagues, recognises those who go the extra mile, and shares the wins (big and small) that have kept us moving forward together. It’s a reminder that even in a demanding year, teamwork and consistency win every time. Thank you for the integrity, pride, and care you bring to your work. You make Faircape the community it is, showing up for each other and for those we serve. Here’s to finishing strong and stepping into 2026 with purpose.

Here’s to another edition filled with stories that celebrate us all.

1.

SPOTLIGHT ON

Finishing the Year Strong

This time of year can pull us in lots of different directions. To stay steady, we lean on the basics like consistency, collaboration, and choosing optimism even on the tough days. Resilience doesn’t have to be loud. It can come from a colleague who keeps a level head during a crisis, a team member who checks-in when you are feeling down, or a manager who helps carry the load. It’s important to close the year with the same momentum we started it with. Stay focused, committed, and support each other all the way to the finish line.

DID YOU KNOW? Taking just a few minutes each day to reset can significantly reduce festive season stress. Even a ten-minute walk in fresh air can lower stress hormones and lift your mood. Writing down one thing you’re grateful for each day is another way of instantly shifting your focus from stress to positivity.

2.

PEOPLE

& Culture

Culture is built in the everyday moments at Faircape including the celebrations, the challenges, the laughs, the setbacks, and the way we always get back up. For over 41 years, Faircape has been nurturing a culture we can be proud of; one that keeps growing with every challenge, every new team member, and every interaction along the way. This year, you’ve proven again that our strength lies in our people.

Across our villages, healthcare teams, and the Claremont office, we’ve seen powerful examples of teamwork and care. December gives us a chance to reflect on the culture you want to be part of. Take a moment to appreciate these incredible moments across Faircape that remind us of the difference we make and inspires us to keep building a culture we can all be proud of.

FAIRCAPE

Champions

Showing up matters, and it’s worth celebrating every time it happens. In this section we shine a spotlight on some of the colleagues who have gone above and beyond throughout the year. Their consistency, reliability, and heart have made a tangible impact. These colleagues have stepped up when it mattered most, and shown dedication, care, and teamwork that inspires us all. Your commitment makes a real difference, and we want to say thank you for your effort, kindness, and pride. Let’s keep celebrating those who raise the bar, quietly or boldly, through their hard work and their attitude. Keep inspiring us, keep showing up, and keep making a difference.

Know someone who deserves to be acknowledged? We’d love to shine a light on them! If you’re a Line Manager, you can submit a formal nomination through the recognition process. If you’re a colleague who’s witnessed someone doing great work, whether it’s lending a hand, stepping up, or just consistently showing up with heart, speak to your Line Manager and encourage them to put that person forward. Recognition doesn’t have to be reserved for big achievements. Sometimes it’s the small, consistent actions that make the biggest impact , and they deserve to be celebrated just as much. Let’s keep lifting each other up, one story at a time.

At Faircape

Faircape is always growing, creating new opportunities for fresh talent to join our family. We welcome new colleagues who bring unique thinking, new strengths, and renewed energy to our teams. Starting a new job has its own set of challenges with new systems, new people, and new routines. We want every new colleague to feel welcomed and supported from day one. It’s the small gestures, and thoughtful guidance, that help craft the beginning of a meaningful journey.

Get to know our new colleagues, embrace their fresh ideas, extend patience and understanding, and go the extra mile to help them feel part of the Faircape community from day one.

Let’s continue to make every new team member feel supported, included, and equipped to thrive.
