Our in-house team of thirteen specialised doctors, including two Family Physicians, provides expert medical care across all six of our healthcare facilities. Working collaboratively with our Interdisciplinary Team, they deliver ongoing clinical oversight and personalised support to patients in our long-term care facilities. Our team of registered nurses provide round-theclock care and support at each of our healthcare facilities. They ensure that every need is attended to with dignity and compassion. Our dedicated carers support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and medication assistance, while encouraging independence wherever possible. Led by experienced Carer Managers, our care team receives ongoing training and oversight to ensure consistently high standards of compassionate, person-centred care, including specialised support for residents with cognitive impairments.

Trained carers assist with various activities of daily living from hygiene, eating, dressing and taking medicines. They help to promote and extend independence. Faircape Health Institute’s social workers provide specialised support to residents and their families when social, emotional or practical challenges arise. Referrals are made as needed, with services tailored to each person’s circumstances and provided in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team. Each of our healthcare facilities has an aligned Physiotherapist to maintain and promote circulatory health, range of motion, physical strength and more on a referral basis as needed*. At Faircape Health Institute, our Long-Term Occupational Therapists enhance residents’ quality of life by promoting independence, meaningful participation, and overall wellbeing. Through individual assessments, tailored interventions, group programmes, and environmental adaptations, we help residents maintain function, dignity, and purpose throughout their ageing journey. Our aligned speech and language therapist helps residents acquire or reacquire the ability to communicate and swallow to the best of their ability on a referral basis as needed*. Our aligned dieticians make sure that the residents are served nutritious meals and that special dietary requirements are catered for. Residents who require individual assessment and consultation are referred on an as-needed basis.*

Our aligned psychologists provide therapy using a variety of methodologies to alleviate mood and cognition related symptoms, as well as adapt to changes and strengthen resilience on a referral basis as needed*.
Housekeeping
Our professional housekeepers are trained to ensure a sanitary environment and to carry out their duties with the highest levels of courtesy and discretion.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS Faircape Health Institute caters for a wide variety of dietary choices and requirements. The following dietary restrictions can be accommodated: Normal, Light, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Diabetic, Soft, Soft-Diabetic and Purée. Surcharges may apply.
ALLERGEN NOTICE Allergens such as milk, eggs, soya, wheat, gluten, peanuts, shellfish, fish, and tree nuts are used in the kitchen. Strict allergen control measures are in place to prevent allergen cross-contamination.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES At Faircape Health Institute, we pride ourselves in maintaining the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness. Our professional housekeepers are trained to ensure a sanitary environment and to carry out their duties with the highest levels of courtesy and discretion. LONG-TERM ADMISSIONS The long-term care provided at Faircape Health Institute is ideal for persons who require frail care, dementia care and palliative care. You can rest assured that all needs will be tended to in a dignified manner. To begin the admission process email healthcare@faircape.co.za and we will be in touch within 2 business days with regards to availability.
FURNITURE & PERSONAL ITEMS To provide the most comfortable and pleasant living environment, Faircape Health Institute provides ergonomically selected furnishings and fittings. These include an electronic bed, bedside cabinet, wingback chair, and wall heater. Residents may also bring their own furniture and belongings to personalise their living quarters. A personalised living space helps to make resident’s stay comfortable and makes adjustment as stress-free as possible. Please Note: In the interests of resident safety and wellbeing, resident furniture must be assessed by both our Nursing Services Manager and Occupational Therapist, and are routinely checked by our Maintenance Staff. 12
