Chuck Machetta as Anshl, the village Rabbi

I started performing in musicals in 1985, staring with a chorus role in Kiss Me Kate. Since then I have had roles as a policeman, dancer, a fool (I shined at that), Italian chef, etc. This will be my first as a Rabbi. I hope that I do not offend. Shalom aleichem (peace be upon you).

Travis Herning as Mendel, the Rabbi's son

Travis is a 3rd generation Fairbanksan. He most recently played drums in Interior Independent Theatre's “Rock of Ages.” This is his first Acting performance. He would like to thank his parents for always supporting his music, and his girlfriend Kori for giving him the confidence to step out of his comfort zone every day.

Bryan Kramer as Avram, the bookseller

Bryan has performed in the past with Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre and portrayed Alaska's 1917 Territorial Governor John F. Strong in the University of Alaska Fairbanks 100th Anniversary Celebration. Bryan also teaches drama with his wife Stefanie Kramer and stages fight choreography in numerous theatrical productions around town.

Steve Mitchell as Nachum, a beggar

Every few years, Steve Mitchell likes to be in a FLOT musical. There’s nothing quite as much fun. Steve thanks Theresa Reed for finding a spot for him in this little village.

Meg Baird as Grandma Tzeitel, Golde's mother/ Rayzel, villager

Meg grew up in Fairbanks dancing with The North Star Ballet. She is excited to be in her second FLOT show, after appearing in “Meet Me in St. Louis” in 2017. When not onstage Meg can be found teaching kindergarten at Ticasuk Brown Elementary, playing with the Fairbanks Symphony, teaching creative movement classes at North Star Ballet, or training for a half marathon.
