WHAT IS FACTORY900?
We are a small factory who are always manufacturing plastic eyeglasses for three generations over 80 years.
In 2000, a head designer Yoshinori Aoyama and we started to create our own brand to create more sophisticate and exquisite eyewear with the concept “THE FUTURES EYEWEAR”.
Gaining global recognition for its unique and distinctive shape and design, our artisans finish the frames individually with great care everyday.

In designing FACTORY900, what is important is the "object" itself, and at the core of this is the question, "Can a person cry just by looking at a pair of glasses?
Beauty does not reside in "objects".
The fact that a person "feels" beauty means that his/her heart has been moved.
In order for many people to feel beauty, we must create something that can push the switch of the heart of many more people.
FACTORY900 is designed from such a thought of Aoyama.

The one-of-a-kind lineup of 3D and streamlined models is designed from a three-dimensional, free-thinking perspective, making abundant use of the company's proprietary three-dimensional modeling technology.

As the name "Lab" suggests, this is an experimental collection that pursues the possibilities of acetate material.
Freely bending and cutting acetate sheets, which have a reputation in the eyeglass industry for being "unchangeable”. Proposals that directly challenge the possibilities of the material itself.

MANUFACTURING
Original 3D Modeling Technology
Aoyama Optical, which has been in business for more than 80 years, is one of the few integrated production factories in the eyeglass manufacturing industry that performs almost all production processes by hand.
The 3D modeling, which is unparalleled in the modeling of eyeglasses, is the result of a manufacturing technology that is completely confidential and not disclosed to the public.
Even professionals in the field of eyeglass manufacturing are astonished by the beauty of the modeling that is created from a single acetate sheet. Craftsmen work day by day to create eyeglass frames that can only be made here.
STRENGTH
Original Hinge System
Our original spring hinge system is stretchable, so even voluminous eyeglasses do not feel heavy, and do not tire easily even when worn for long periods of time. Different hinges are used according to the characteristics of each part number to provide optimum wearing comfort.
The frames are also designed so that when a load is applied to the frame, the spring hinges bear the load to prevent damage to the frame itself as much as possible.
Maintenance
The original spring hinge system is designed for easy replacement in the event of damage and can be repaired in as little as 10 minutes once the user is familiar with it.
This eliminates the time, effort, and expense of sending goods back and forth for repair and keeps customers waiting.
STRENGTH
High Sell-Out
Many opticians are hesitant to deal in FACTORY900 because they are concerned about inventory risk due to its distinctive shape, but in fact, our customers give their positive feedbacks who have realized its high sell-out rate.
FYI:
The average annual order quantity is approximately 40 pieces per store (20 pieces for each season).

DISTRIBUTION
We distribute to around 25 counties and 300 retailers. And We still receive many inquiries where FACTORY900 is sold from consumers. A direct wholesale system has been established for countries that have not established distributors/agents, allowing imports from Japan with peace of mind.
