En Venecia, en primavera, la ciudad parece despertar con una cierta añoranza: la de su unión eterna con el mar. Así nace la Festa della Sensa (17 de mayo), una ceremonia simbólica que honra más de un milenio de historia marítima, en la que miles de embarcaciones tradicionales tiñen la laguna de color, y vuelve a respirarse un ambiente de otro siglo en una ciudad que no nació junto al mar, sino del mar. Cuenta una crónica del siglo XVIII que, en una de estas ceremonias, el Bucintoro (la galera oficial del dux de la República de Venecia), regresó tan cargado de flores arrojadas por los espectadores que parecía un jardín flotante avanzando hacia la basílica de San Marcos. Aquella imagen quedó inmortalizada en lienzos de Canaletto, testigo del esplendor ritual de la Sensa.

ENG In Venice, come spring, the city seems to awaken with a certain sense of longing: that for its eternal bond with the sea. Thus is the origin of the Festa della Sensa (17 May), a symbolic ceremony honouring over a millennium of maritime history, during which thousands of traditional boats fill the lagoon with colour, and an atmosphere from another century returns to a city that was not born by the sea, but from it. An 18th-century chronicle recounts that, during one such ceremony, the Bucintoro (the official galley of the Doge of the Republic of Venice) returned so laden with flowers thrown by the spectators that it resembled a floating garden making its way towards St Mark’s Basilica. That image was immortalised in the paintings of Canaletto, a witness to the ritual splendour of the Sensa.

Es una de las obras más radicales de la arquitectura brasileña: una esfera de ocho metros de diámetro suspendida sobre la losa de una residencia en el barrio de Itaim Bibi, construida a mano por Eduardo Longo entre 1974 y 1979. Su estructura de ferrocemento, moldeada sobre tubos de acero reciclados, disuelve límites entre paredes, mobiliario y luminarias. Considerada un prototipo de vivienda utópica, Casa Bola encarna la visión experimental de un arquitecto y desafía la lógica tradicional del espacio doméstico. Ahora, hasta el 31 de mayo, este icono arquitectónico abre sus puertas al público por primera vez como sede de la exposición ABERTO5, acogiendo más de 60 piezas de arte y diseño creadas en diálogo con la casa.
ENG It is one of the most radical works in Brazilian architecture: an eight-metre-diameter sphere suspended above the roof slab of a residence in the Itaim Bibi neighbourhood, built by hand by Eduardo Longo between 1974 and 1979. Its ferrocement structure, moulded over recycled steel tubes, dissolves the boundaries between walls, furniture and lighting. Regarded as a prototype of utopian housing, Casa Bola embodies the experimental vision of its architect and challenges the traditional logic of domestic space. Now, until 31 May, this architectural icon is opening its doors to the public for the first time as the venue for the ABERTO5 exhibition, showcasing over 60 pieces of art and design created in dialogue with the house.

Óscar Casas (Barcelona, 1998) está cimentando su carrera actoral sin prisa, paso a paso, logro a logro. Embajador de Air Europa, no tiene miedo a salir de su zona de confort para dar vida a personajes complejos, tanto desde el punto de vista físico como psicológico. Eso sí, siempre con el apoyo de su familia y, por supuesto, de su hermano Mario.
Empezaste de niño, un poco a la sombra de tu hermano Mario. ¿Crees que ya has volado del nido familiar?
No. Mi familia es un pilar muy importante y dudo que vaya a volar del nido. Soy el hermano de Mario, uno de los actores más reconocidos en este país. Lo que intento, en cada proyecto y en cada película, es dar absolutamente todo. Me esfuerzo con toda mi alma porque amo esta profesión. Pero siempre seré el hermano de Mario.
Te hemos visto en la película Ídolos como piloto de moto GP y ahora en Lucidez como abogado, dos papeles con mucha carga psicológica. ¿Cómo los preparas?
Cada película la afronto de maneras muy distintas. Soy una persona bastante empática y a la hora de trabajar utilizo muchísimo la parte emocional de un personaje. Intento conocer historias reales y, a partir de ahí, “robar” desde la empatía lo máximo posible. Intento conocer a personas que me puedan recordar al personaje que me toque interpretar. >
También tuvo mucha dificultad meterte en la piel del deportista olímpico Gervasio Deferr. ¿Te estás especializando en personajes complejos?
En el caso de Gervasio Deferr, antes de entrar en el proyecto pude leer su biografía y flipé. Poder embarcarse en personajes así desgasta bastante, también emocionalmente, Siempre es bonito hacer una comedia romántica, pero me enamoran personajes como Gervasio, me muero de ganas de saber cómo son y por qué y aprender de ellos.
En estos procesos de creación, ¿qué es más difícil, preparar el cuerpo o la mente?
El cuerpo me resulta bastante fácil. Amo el deporte y cualquier cambio físico que tenga que hacer es lo que más disfruto. La parte emocional es mucho más difícil.
Tú decides: ¿drama o comedia? Drama. Me encantan las comedias, pero la mayoría de las películas que veo tienen carga dramática.
¿A qué dedicas tu tiempo a bordo de un avión?
Me encanta coger aviones porque estoy un rato sin que nadie me moleste, y aprovecho para ver películas o series.
Como embajador de Air Europa, ¿qué recomiendas a los pasajeros cuando llegan a bordo?
Que pongan el modo avión en todos los aspectos y desconecten esas horas. Siempre hace ilusión coger un avión, porque suele ser algo positivo, emocionante.
Óscar Casas (Barcelona, 1998) has been building his acting career steadily, step by step, achievement by achievement. As an Air Europa ambassador, he isn’t afraid to step out of his comfort zone to bring complex characters to life, both physically and psychologically. That said, he always has the support of his family and, of course, his brother Mario.
You started out as a child, in the shadow of your brother Mario. Do you think you’ve now flown the family nest? No. My family is a very important pillar of my life and I doubt I’ll ever really fly the nest. I’m Mario’s brother, one of the most renowned actors in this country. What I try to do, in every project and every film, is give absolutely everything. I put my heart and soul into it because I love this profession.
We’ve seen you in the film Ídolos as a MotoGP rider and now in Lucidez as a lawyer, two roles with a heavy psychological load. How do you prepare for them?
I approach every film in very different ways. I’m quite an empathetic person and when it comes to work, I draw heavily on a character’s emotional side. I try to learn about real-life stories and, from there, ‘borrow’ as much as possible through empathy. I try to meet people who might remind me of the character I’m playing.
It was also very challenging to step into the shoes of the Olympic athlete Gervasio Deferr. Are you specialising in complex characters?
In the case of Gervasio Deferr, before joining the project I was able to read his biography and I was blown away. Taking on characters like that is quite draining, emotionally too. It’s always lovely to do a romantic comedy, but I fall in love with characters like Gervasio; I’m dying to know what they’re like and why, and to learn from them.
In these creative processes, which is harder: preparing the body or the mind?
The physical side comes quite easily to me. I love sport, and any physical changes I have to make are what I enjoy most. The emotional side is much harder.
You decide: drama or comedy?
Drama. I love comedies, but most of the films I watch have a dramatic element.
What do you do with your time on board a plane?
I love flying because I get a bit of time without anyone bothering me, and I make the most of it to watch films or series.
As an Air Europa ambassador, what do you recommend passengers do once they're on board?
That they put their phone on ‘airplane mode’ in every sense and switch off for those few hours. It’s always exciting to get on a plane, because it usually means something positive or exciting.

En Gran Canaria, el océano Atlántico ofrece aguas limpias y buena visibilidad, con temperaturas agradables todo el año gracias a su clima subtropical y a los vientos alisios, ideales para deportes acuáticos. La isla es un referente mundial del windsurf, ligada a figuras históricas como Björn Dunkerbeck, 42 veces campeón del mundo, que desarrolló aquí gran parte de su carrera.
Como deportista profesional, ¿qué valoras de Gran Canaria como destino de deportes de agua? El clima es clave: en verano 25–28 °C y en invierno 20–25 °C. Es perfecta para windsurf y deportes de naturaleza como ciclismo, senderismo, surf, SUP, vela, buceo o natación. Los vientos alisios ayudan mucho, ya que garantizan buen viento de forma constante.

In Gran Canaria, the Atlantic Ocean offers crystal waters and excellent visibility, with pleasant temperatures all year round thanks to its subtropical climate and trade winds, making it ideal for water sports. The island is a global hub for windsurfing, closely linked to legendary figures such as Björn Dunkerbeck, a 42-time world champion, who spent much of his career here.
As a professional athlete, what do you value about Gran Canaria as a water sports destination?
e climate is key: 25–28°C in summer and 20–25°C in winter. It’s perfect for windsurfing and outdoor sports such as cycling, hiking, surfing, SUP, sailing, diving or swimming. e trade winds make a huge difference, as they guarantee a steady supply of good wind.
Your parents opened a windsurfing school in the 1970s. Did you ever think about moving away?
Gran Canaria and the Canary Islands are my home. We can be out on the water 365 days a year, and it’s safe here, with good schools, hospitals and excellent flight connections.

Air Europa launches codeshare flights to Chile with SKY Airline
Air Europa refuerza su presencia en Latinoamérica gracias al nuevo acuerdo de código compartido con SKY Airline, que le permite volar a Santiago de Chile desde Lima y sumar nuevos destinos domésticos en Perú.
Con este acuerdo comercial, Air Europa incorpora Chile a su red en el continente americano, consolidando su posición como una de las principales opciones para conectar Europa con Latinoamérica y fortaleciendo su alcance a lo largo de la costa del Pacífico Sur.
Desde marzo, los clientes de Air Europa pueden volar entre Lima y la capital chilena a bordo de SKY Airline. Asimismo, el acuerdo incluye la operación en código compartido en otras cinco rutas regionales desde Lima hacia destinos clave del país andino: Cuzco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Trujillo y Tarapoto.
La colaboración entre ambas aerolíneas contempla, además, una futura ampliación, sujeta a las autorizaciones correspondientes. With this commercial agreement, Air Europa is adding Chile to its network in the Americas, consolidating its position as one of the leading options for connecting Europe with Latin America and expanding its reach along the South Pacific coast.
Since March, Air Europa customers have been able to fly between Lima and the Chilean capital on board SKY Airline. The agreement also includes codeshare operations on five additional regional routes from Lima to key destinations in the Andean country: Cuzco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Trujillo and Tarapoto.
The collaboration between the two airlines also provides for future expansion, subject to the relevant approvals. Air Europa therefore plans to shortly add new destinations to its code-share network from Santiago de Chile, including Salvador de Bahía and São Paulo in Brazil, as well as Montevideo in Uruguay and Buenos Aires in Argentina.

FLEXION OF THE FEET. With your feet resting on the floor, lift the tips of your toes. Repeat the exercise, this time lifting your heels. Repeat 15 times.
Sube una pierna a media altura con la rodilla flexionada y el muslo contraído. Bájala. Repite 10 veces con cada pierna.
KNEE LIFTS. Lift one leg halfway up with the knee bent and the thigh contracted. Lower it. Repeat 10 times with each leg.
