Papaya is a fruit originally from the tropical areas of Central and South America, but it also grows in subtropical regions around the world. You can even spot some trees in home gardens here in the Middle East. Ripe papaya is rich in nutrients like vitamins A and C, magnesium, potassium, and copper, which helps develop healthy and shiny hair.

The fruit can also boost hair growth. It contains folic acid, which can improve blood circulation to the scalp and hair follicles. This, in turn, ensures better transportation of oxygen and other nutrients to the area. Studies have shown that a papaya hair mask can nourish and rejuvenate the hair follicles and stimulate them to grow new hair.

To increase papaya’s efficiency, two other natural ingredients can be added to make a potent hair mask: coconut milk and honey. Coconut milk contains vitamin E, which helps strengthen hair roots and soften dry hair. While honey works as a hair softener for weak hair, its antioxidants also help improve the scalp and stimulate hair growth.
