Worthy of a Queen

Chaumet, one of the oldest luxury jewellery brands in the world, continues to impress with new and sophisticated pieces.

The House of Chaumet was founded in 1780 in Paris and was the very first jewellery house to establish itself on the legendary Place Vendôme in 1812. The maison very quickly became the official jeweller of the former French Empress Joséphine. To this date, Chaumet has been recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious luxury jewellery brands. Their selection of unique pieces keeps growing and these are some of Chaumet’s latest creations.

Joséphine Valse Impériale tiara

The Empress has inspired Chameut for more than two centuries, and this tiara is the most recent interpretation of that inspiration in their collection. In a delicate waltz, the Joséphine Valse Impériale’s pear-shaped diamonds emphasise the elevated sweep of the tiara. The signature Chaumet filcouteau technique enables the metal of this High Jewellery piece to optically disappear in order to let the seemingly suspended stones shine.

Lacis High Jewellery

The set is part of the Perspective de Chaumet collection presented for the first time in the Middle East. It recalls the stone latticework and mashrabiyas of contemporary architecture, while rubellite stones and brilliant-cut diamonds are embraced by white gold. The interlacing Lacis delineates symmetrical and delicate jewellery while suggesting a maze of narrow streets. This modern reinterpretation of diamond mesh, a historic Chaumet signature, is especially striking in the form of a necklace, earrings and bracelets with airy volumes. In each piece, a subtle interplay of light and transparency is orchestrated by crossing the fil-couteau mountings, an iconic technique of the maison, which seems to depict the metal structure as invisible to let the sparkling stones take the main stage.

Four Of A Kind

Boucheron introduces new editions of the maison’s iconic Quatre collection.

Classic, unique and multidimensional best describes Quatre by Boucheron. Elegantly designed and reimagined since 2004, the Quatre collection comprises four rings embodying the maison’s signature styles: the Grosgrain, the Line of Diamonds, the Clou de Paris and the Double Godron. Each band is singularly styled and can be worn in any combination, depending on your ensemble. Whether you want to dress up or down, Quatre will be an extension of your mood and a reflection of your personality.

Boucheron celebrates colour and optimism with its Spring Colors campaign, featuring ambassadors Alexa Chung, Nour Arida, Hannah Quinlivan and Youn-jung Go, who represent the quintessential chic woman for whom style isn’t an act but a state of mind. The Quatre Classic motif incorporates a warm-toned brown band along with the yellow gold, pink gold and white gold that is set with round diamonds. The Quatre White edition, as the name suggests, replaces the brown PVD coating with white. The Quatre Blue edition has a denim blue-coloured

HyCeram. The Quatre Red edition has a fiery red HyCeram band. These colours represent spring-summer skies and seas and the heat that the season brings, making Quatre the perfect capsule to add to your jewellery collection, especially at this time of the year.

The new arrivals include the Quatre Classique pendant that has the signature codes of the edition joined together in an elegant clasp motif, giving it an iconic design and new look; a chain bracelet combining two Quatre Classique motifs – sliding on a delicate yellow gold chain that can be positioned and moved around; a bangle style bracelet that features the four signature codes of the Quatre Classique collection in pairs; the Quatre Blue and White editions’ tying necklaces and a Quatre Classique chain that you can wear as a double or single chain in a long necklace or choker, all incorporating the iconic Quatre codes. Boucheron also presents a new take on the Quatre Classique hoop earrings – a pink gold ring and a Clou de Paris line in yellow gold with brown PVD coating – which are bigger and sleeker than the original.

The Height of Class

Cartier’s emblematic Panthère de Cartier watch’s simple design and exquisite details make it a timeless luxury piece.

The Panthère de Cartier watch is arguably one of the most iconic watches in the world of fashion and jewellery. It is, simply put, a piece of art. Its signature square case with rounded angles, its seamless curve of the horns and its rivets all make it a classic accessory.

The Panthère watch aspires for clean lines that do not take away from the softness of its design, making it, in essence, a jewellery watch. It takes its name from the Panthère bracelet, an ultra-flexible accessory that echoes the movements of the maison’s symbolic animal, the panther. Redesigned in 2017, the timepiece embodies the festive, free and glamorous spirit of the 1980s when it was created, celebrating a liberated feminine identity. Its fluid, feminine and silky feel makes it an exquisite piece. The succession of curved and polished links provides a subtle finish and ergonomics, making the watch the supreme example of elegance. The dial displays the codes of Cartier: Roman numerals, railway track minute markers and blued sword-shaped hands. Additionally, the brand’s name is concealed in one of the numerals.

More than operations were conducted to produce the watch. The special colour of the hands comes from the oxidation of the steel through a unique heating process. The high temperature causes the colour to change from yellow to the beautiful blue emblematic of the watch. The bluing of the hands also prevents them from rusting. This process is part of an old watchmaking tradition. A genuine differential of the Panthère watch is that the seven-sided crown is set with a blue spinel or a sapphire for their precious versions.
