A few years ago your daughter accompanied you on the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week. How did that feel?

It was a very emotional experience for both of us. For me it was extra special as this was the first time I walked the runway as a protective mother and not as a model interpreting the Designers’ vision!

It was beautiful to see the heart-warming response of the audience who witnessed an inter-generational fashion show for the first time. I have always been very hesitant about introducing my daughter to the world of fashion; especially at such a tender age! People sort of automatically assume that she will follow me in my footsteps. Not that I would be against it if she would, but only if she truly has a genuine interest and passion, not because she wants to be like me or become famous, otherwise she will be set up for disappointment and always be compared to me.

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing the most?

Spending time with my daughter, decorating, restoring furniture and discovering places I don’t know yet.
