Being able to contribute back to our community year after year is an achievement in itself and one that we have worked toward since day one. What’s the benefit of shopping local?

When a dollar is spent locally, it creates a “local multiplier effect” that causes the money to recirculate within the community, generating more economic activity than money spent at a non-local business, on average six to seven times.

In a world where convenience is most often utilized take some time to slow down and enjoy local shopping and supporting small businesses.

It has educated me enough to have learned more about our community needs and showing up for them. Not being from Pensacola, I have worked extremely hard to be proactive in staying involved in our community to see how our business could help serve others. Sometimes needs can be met in the form of sweat equity, other times it is in the form of financial support; and we are happy to do both when we are able.

What advice do you have for someone interested in openning a shop?

Find a boutique business owner who is as passionate as you believe you are in the industry and consult with them.

Fashion and business ownership is an industry unlike any other as well as an investment. Look beyond the what you think is “fun” part, which is what you normally see from the outside looking in. There is an entirely different side of the industry that you need to know and educate yourself about before you make a decision to execute.
