FACE NIGERIA MAGAZINE VOL.3

Port Harcourt is the capital of Rivers State, a city bustling with aboriginal history and rich cultures of over 26 ethnic groups in Nigeria. The city is known and loved for many things - like the famous bole and fish delicacy which now has a dedicated festival that attracts thousands of people nationwide. This limited Port Harcourt issue displays the enviable traditional 'iriabo' adornment of Riivers Ijaw women alongside the royal brides of Benin, the beautiful Oyonyo of Efik/Ibibio and the Igbo omalicha, all in the Niger Delta. The love list for Port Harcourt and the region is relentless in this edition. Like many great cities, a population of nearly three million people would be mixed with the good, the bad and some tall tales. The truth is, "person wey ask question, no dey miss road" (if you ask the right people for directions, you would end up in the right places). Growing up here, dreaming and surfing life on the shores of Port Harcourt, certifies our editors and contributors for their views in this publication. Our intention is to gift you a piece of Rivers State as you flip through the pages. Catch a glimpse of potential tourism investables (waiting for you to 'shoot your shot'), apace with a juicy experience to look forward to on your next visit.
