Letter from the COO Dear Teammates, I hope that all of you enjoyed your holidays and got plenty of much needed rest! 2018 was not the easiest year of business for Fabtech as we experienced a slow down in the acquisition of projects. However, I can proudly say that with the help of all of you, we were able to overcome these challenges. That is how I personally feel when I look back at the recent year. We can be proud of what we have achieved together regardless of these trying times.

Looking forward, 2019 is the year that Fabtech plans to grow in the hopes of truly becoming the light in our industry. Happy 59th birthday! I’m deeply grateful to have such a lovingly eccentric father who has always supported us in achieving our grandest dreams. You have been a constant source of inspiration for us. From your humble and difficult beginnings, you have bravely faced every hurdle with great determination and integrity, which allowed you to succeed in creating a thriving business and expanding family. I remember that Uncle Willy would often say that your life story has more twists and turns than the most dramatic movie and anyone who knows you would definitely agree with him. While it has definitely been a thrilling roller coaster ride with many highs and lows, I’m delighted that you and mom have found lasting peace and happiness that radiates to everyone around you, especially our family. Age and your spiritual journey have helped soften the rougher edges of your personality,v which has dramatically improved our ability to effectively communicate over the years. There is one distinct trait that has not changed with time however – and that is your abundant energy. We often teasingly refer to you as a kiti-kiti because you can never ever stand still. It is your boundless curiosity and overflowing energy that motivates us to keep pushing forward to always be the best versions of ourselves. I love you and will always appreciate everything that you have done and continue to do for us.
Happy 59th birthday to the man who cannot sit still! You are a testament to pure curiosity, which is most probably the reason for your success. You are never satisfied with how things are and constantly thinking of how to improve things. This is something I definitely inherited from you. I know that I don’t say it enough, but I really do appreciate all the sacrifices and hard work you put into raising me. I hope you do realize that the three siblings work as hard as we do is because we are eternaly grateful for all of the blessings that we have received through you. It may not have been easy, but we appreciate that you have given us the opportunity to handle the family business. AURO Chocolate Opens in Tokyo, Japan! November 2018 Auro Chocolate is a proudly Filipino bean-to-bar company that sources their cacao from farming communities in Davao, Philippines. They have been making waves not only for their quality (at the 2018 Academy of Chocolate Awards in London last July, they won bronze for their 70% Dark Chocolate Saloy Reserve (Tree to Bar Category) and for their 32% Roasted White Chocolate Cashew (Flavored White Chocolate Bar category) but also for their premium gold-tinged packaging. They are also going “beyond bean-to-bar” by

offering constant support to farmers by teaching them about organic farming and business management fundamentals. In line with their goal of placing the Philippines on the world cocoa map, they have recently opened their first international boutique in Tokyo, Japan, just a little after a year of operations, last October 7, 2018. “Our Japanese founders found us through social media,” explains co-founder Mark Ocampo, “And after coming to the Philippines
and trying all the local chocolate available in the market, they chose our brand because they liked the quality and our story really resonated with them. Japan is one of the most challenging markets to penetrate-- they have some of the highest standards in the world. 1989
WKG Food Tech International Inc. The Fabtech story began in 1988. Losing his job in his uncle’s factory, Founder Wilson Go started his own business with his wife Jacqueline “Jackie” Go. His background in the kitchen industry was complemented by Jackie’s experience and passion for food. Together, they started our company WKG Food Tech International Inc., a commercial foodservice equipment supplier in a small shop in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Soon after, their homegrown story began to spread not only locally but internationally. In 2003, WKG Food Tech International Inc., became Fabtech Kitchens Unlimited, Inc. who until now promises to provide clients with only top quality food commercial equipment. This mindset continues to attract the best suppliers from all around the world, providing us a strong, wide-ranging portfolio of equipment. Fabtech then moved from Sta. Mesa to a new office and showroom in Quezon Ave.

Jackie Sy Go & Associates Management Consultants, Inc. Jackie Sy-Go & Associates Management Consultants, Inc. was established to focus on commercial kitchen design and management consultancy. Our design philosophy of merging engineering with passion for cooking attracted clients with the same mindset. Right off the bat, we were accredited by Marriot International. To this day, it continues to grow its portfolio as a staple brand in the food industry.

Valenzuela Stainless Fabrication Factory From our humble shop in Sta. Mesa, we supplied kitchen equipment to clients all over the Philippines. Thanks to that, we were able to then set up our first large scale stainless steel fabrication plant in Valenzuela.

In the years that followed, the company grew rapidly and started hiring more engineers and technicians. They created PEZA accredited Fabtech Export Industries, a separate entity for manufacturing foodservice equipment using only food grade stainless steel. We then moved our stainless steel fabrication plant to Filinvest Technology Park at Calamba, Laguna.

Gruppo Dolci, Inc. Gruppo Dolci started as a local food company that produced and distributed premium ingredients and finished food products such as gelato, pastries, breads, pasta, and desserts. Bar Dolci was the retail brand that helped promote those products.

Magallanes Commercial Office Fabtech moved their head commercial office to Magallanes Commercial Center in Makati. Alongside the factory, these strategic locations continue to provide the company optimal reach as the centers of industry within the country.

The Go family’s fascination over gelato and other desserts was followed by the formation of an educational institution and learning center dedicated to the famous Italian dessert. They called it Gelateneo, named after the original training facility of Iceteam 1927. Together with Cattabriga, Gelateneo Philippines aims to bring gelato in our country to the next level.
Our reputation continued to attract top suppliers and in 2017, we became the exclusive dealer of Milnor and Chicago Dryer. Fabtech Laundry was then added to the company’s list of services. We now design and supply commercial laundry systems.

Fabtech Masterbuilders Corporation and Fabtech International Corporation To combat the increase in corruption for construction projects, Fabtech grew to become a true one-stop shop concept. Fabtech Masterbuilders is engaged in general construction and project management that incorporates Revit, CostOS and Virtual Reality in its projects. We believe in making construction projects highly transparent to create a clear line of accountability using industry tested technology. Fabtech International Corporation on the other hand is a rebrand of Kitchens Unlimited, which creates lasting partnerships with globally-recognized brands of commercial kitchen equipment such as Alto-Shaam, Cattabriga, Granuldisk, Halton, Ifi, Sagi, and much more.

Filipinas Oro de Cacao Filipinas Oro de Cacao, Inc. is yet another addition to our roster of companies. Our cacao journey began in 2010 when the Go family started searching for cacao in the Philippines. In 2016, Filipinas Oro de Cacao was established as a PEZA certified cocoa and chocolate manufacturing company with a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in producing premium single-origin products.
Fabtech invested in Trumpf machines from Germany for our fabrication plant. We are the first to use the laser and punch combination technology for the kitchen equipment industry here in the Philippines. We also started developing our own internal business enterprise system to improve operations and communications with clients. From this internally developed system, we developed FABservice, a cloud based service application that allows our clients to monitor their equipment and its service history. This was another first in the local industry.

Internal Medical Coverage The company will provide medical assistance via cash reimbursement to all employees and for their immediate family (Spouse and Children) subject to management approval.

How to avail coverage? 1. Before hospitalization, immediately contact or notify our President, JSG at 09175284115 and our HR Health and Wellness Officer at 09985100439. 2. Make sure to secure your Philhealth CSF form certified by your HR Officer. Have someone from y our family or representative claim the CSF form from the office. 3. Provide a copy of your rolling hospital bill (most current if still confined) via messenger or viber so our HR Officers can process your request for medical assistance. Make sure to provide original copies of your medical documents and receipts before or upon your return to office. 4. If claim will be made after hospitalization, make sure to provide original copies of ospital bill reflecting Philhealth benefits coverage. Also include original copy of your prescription, medical abstract, certificate, and receipts. Note: Please understand that our HR team can only assist you if you cooperate and provide the necessary documents for your claim. Coverage will be on case to case basis under management discretion.

Dental Benefits The company shall extend dental benefits to all employees in partnership with Metro Dental. With maximum limit of Php 3,000.00 and can be used by dependents.

Rental Assistance Fabtech understands that commuting to and from work in Manila can be a heavy burden especially those that live far away from the office. Therefore, employees may request for Rental Assistance where up to 50% of the rental cost may be covered by the
company under a signed contract. Grant of rental assistance is still under sole discretion of Fabtech management for mutual benefit.

Learning Investment Employees who wish to expand their knowledge and expertise may search and choose training programs that are connected to their work in Fabtech. Should the training require a fee, the company may extend
support in exchange of a traning bond for one (1) whole operating year from the date of the training. Approval of Learning Investment is subject to management discretion.

Fitness Program The company sponsors any interested employee with a 50% discount to a gym membership in support our health and wellness initiative. Employees who wish to sign up for this program shall dedicate 3 gym sessions per week in order to receive 50% coverage. Failure to commit to the program will result to disquali-
fication from the benefit and employee must then pay the full amount corresponding to 100% of the membership and monthly fees paid for in advance by the company. The fitness program is in partnership with ANYTIME FITNESS MAGALLANES. The contract for this program is 1 year.

Daily Meal Allowance We believe that wellness starts with the food that you eat. Therefore, we provide employees with a daily meal allowance of Php 50.00 to be claimed at our canteens, both in FAB HQ and the Planta.
This meal allowance is non-transferrable and cannot be converted to cash.

Complete Fabtech Integrated Database System (FIDS) We started FIDS back in 2017 in the hopes of consolidating all of our operations in a cloud based digital platform. We have succeeded to transfer about 80% of our operations. This year, we aim to finish the remaining 20%. FIDS was developed to increase
productivity and transparency. It is designed specifically to our unique needs as a company. Our system allows us to track and monitor all data and monetary transactions within and outside the company. FIDS also tracks the activities of each employee adding data to their
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Fabtech wants to provide all employees a laddered system of career growth that is data driven. We want to equip you with all the tools necessary for you to perform your job the best you can each step of the way.

Go Nationwide One of the major goals for Fabtech this year is to go nationwide and to establish offices in Visayas and Mindanao.
This goal can only be successfully accomplished once we have completed our migration to FIDS. Once all of operations
are done digitally and through cloud, we can expand while maintaining the quality of our operations.
