LS CON RODS Fabre stock a range of con rods for the LS to suit any budget. From leading brands like Manley Performance, whith their very high quality, yet economical, H-Beam design connecting rods. Manufactured from 4340 alloy forgings. They are fully machined, heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and magnafluxed. They are built with a choice of either ARP 8740 alloy or ARP 2000 bolts. Manley also have on offer the Pro Series “I” Beam is forged from 4340 aircraft quality vacuum degassed material. With there proven Lightweight yet rugged design that includes ARP 2000 cap screws. All rods are properly shot peened after machining and 100% magnafluxed. A true American forged billet rod at prices as low as imported billets! Building a big HP engine? Howards Cams Ultimate Duty forged billet connecting rods start with certified high-nickel 4340 aircraft-quality steel and are fully CNC-machined on the newest generation of equipment to ensure the removal of all surface imperfections. They are specially heat-treated using a multi-phase process to produce the ultimate in strength and reliability. Then these Ultimate Duty rods are fully stress-relieved and shot-peened to ensure that no stress risers remain. Howards Cams Ultimate Duty forged billet connecting rods are profiled for long stroke applications and weight savings. The rod caps are double-ribbed for added strength and the rod cap alignment sleeves will keep the bearing caps precisely aligned. The rods are bronze bushed for floating pins and use 7/16 in. ARP 2000 cap screw fasteners to secure the caps.

VALVE SPRING KITS Manley valve springs are wound from super clean alloy. Each design minimizes stress to ensure long service life with high lift camshafts. Retainers are manufactured in our own double spindle CNC machines to exacting tolerances and precise installed height specifications. Locators are manufactured in our own CNC lathes. Heat treated and black oxided after machining. Valve locks are manufactured in our own Swiss turning centers with rigid control over the all-important angle to ensure precise mating with the retainer.

PLATINUM PISTONS Manley pistons are machined of high strength 2618 material. Each design is lightweight yet robust enough to deliver long service life. Perfect ring groove to skirt squareness is achieved through our unique "one fixturing" manufacturing method that assures maximum horsepower. We utilise a proven offset wrist pin design, a 1.5, 1.5, 3mm Total Seal ring package and moly coated skirts for ultimate performance. Roundwire locks, tool steel wrist pins and pressure balance grooves are included with every set at no additional charge. The MAHLE PowerPak is a complete, race proven piston assembly kit composed of hand deburred, forged, performance coated pistons, high quality steel pins, round wire locks and low drag performance rings. Performance coatings include a phosphate dry lubricant that is used to protect against ring micro-welding and pin galling during initial startup and break in. For added performance, MAHLE applies its proprietary Grafal® anti-friction coating to each piston skirt.
