Already August! I simply cannot believe how quickly the year has been progressing. It seems like just the other day I was writing a column welcoming you all back to the Club for 2023… and, now here we are, sliding swiftly through the second half of the year.

reflect on the year under review, celebrate our successes and acknowledge our challenges.

It has certainly been an eventful second quarter, which I reflect on as we move through quarter three. As you’re undoubtedly aware, by now, our most important calendar date is fast approaching. We meet for our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 24 August 2023 at 18:00 in the Pavilion room. There are no resolutions up for a vote this AGM, so we will meet to hear annual reports from our Chairman, Jeff Leaver, and I, and approve our Audited Financial Statements. At the SEEHOA Annual General Meeting the following week, homeowners will vote for the approval of the r10 million loan from SEEHOA to the Country Club for the execution of our Masterplan Phase 1. This is an important vote and, again, it would be great to match the level of participation we enjoyed at the General Meeting in June.

The SCC AGM will, of course, be followed by our Golf AGM. Please watch your e-mails for more information on both meetings.
