WATER PURIFICATION | H2O STELLENBOSCH
Our Municipalities do a great job treating our water so that we do not suffer from water born diseases. Our water is therefore ‘safe’ to drink. However chemicals like chlorine and aluminum sulfate are left in the water after treating it. Very necessary in the treatment process but harmful in the long term. There is also the risk of leakage into the already treated water in the system. Municipalities also don’t remove pesticides and herbicides and other industrial pollutants.
Water purification involves removing unwanted chemical compounds, organics and inorganics from your water supply to provide you with clean drinking water. Through purification, contaminants such as suspended particles, parasites, bacteria, algae, viruses and fungi are reduced which makes water odourless, clear and improves taste. Water purification can cover an entire city or simply your household, leaving your water contaminant free, clear and odourless – giving you better tasting, healthy water.

WINE FACTS
Jan van Riebeeck, the first governor of the Cape, planted a vineyard in 1655, and on 2 February 1659, the first wine was made from Cape grapes. This led to the planting of vines on a larger scale at Roschheuvel, known today as Bishopscourt, Wynberg.
Vredendal Cellar, South Africa’s Largest Winery is fast-tracking on a global mission.
There is a touch of irony in that South Africa’s largest Winery, and the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, is quite some distance from the traditional Cape Winelands.
Pinotage is a proudly South African wine grape cultivar. It represents a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut (Hermitage), created by Professor Abraham Perold in 1925.
Pinotage produces complex and fruity wines and is popular as a varietal wine as well as in blends such as the ‘Cape blend’.
What is the most expensive wine in South Africa? Conjunctively, an in-depth look at
The top South African wine in 2024, from pioneering winemaker Eben Sadie, is the Sadie Family Swartland Columella 2022. It’s the 22nd vintage of the red blend, now composed of six varieties—Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsaut, and Tinta Barocca—across 12 Swartland vineyards.
the most expensive wines from South Africa proves that there is plenty of monetary value and quality. Once again, the Tokara ‘Telos’ takes home gold as the grand winner of the most expensive wine produced in South Africa.

LUETTE’S FIRST GRAPE STOMPING EXPERIENCE … EVER!
Friday, the 21st of February 2025, marked not only my first grape stomping at Croydon Vineyard Estate but also my first ever—and what an unforgettable experience!
with big smiles and purple-stained feet.
The atmosphere was beautifully relaxed and cohesive, with an underlying buzz of excitement as families and friends came together to celebrate this special tradition. The children had the honour of going first, joyfully stomping away as parents captured every laugh and splash on their cameras. Later, the adults joined in, reliving childhood fun
The food trucks added to the festivities, offering a wonderful variety of eats while guests mingled, laughed, and enjoyed the evening together. This event is truly one of the highlights of our year, and I look forward to many more signature celebrations to come.
Thank you to everyone who joined us— you made it an experience to remember!

Talk about discovering a hidden gem!
End of Holiday Party
To celebrate Valentine’s day, we hosted the band MixTape to play at our picnic evening and we were not disappointed! They brought such a great vibe to the Courtyard, engaged with the crowd, and did what they do best! Their vocals were so good, you could close your eyes and think it was the original artist/band! Many danced the night away, requesting “one last song” at least five times! Definitely a memorable evening!
