HELLO SOUTHERN REGION,
I am very excited to serve as your 2024-25 National Southern Region Vice President! Over these past few months, the National Officer Team and I have been working hard to form fanatics councils, complete initiatives, and connect with our Advisers and members.
I am very excited about the many resources we have to offer you. As you can see in this edition of Southern Scribbles, we will take a look at some national and council initiatives, meet the Southern Region Council, and dive more into NFLC, which will be very soon!
Talking about NFLC, I hope to see you all in about a week for the National Fall Leadership Conference in Columbus, Ohio, on November 8th and 9th. From numerous workshops, a State Officer Track, and a Middle-Level Track, I hope you know that it will be a time like no other.
As this year progresses, I am here for you in any way, shape, or form. SRC OUTREACH SRC PROGRAM
In August, all nine of the FBLA National Officers assembled a team of five council members that would bring new ideas and assist in executing FBLA’s National Program of Work. The Southern Region Council, represented by six different states across the region, got right to work in building an expansive Program of Work that would enhance connections amongst the Southern Region and provide members with the resources they need to succeed in FBLA. We are excited to share with you the FBLA National Southern Region Program of Work and the initiatives the SR Council is working on this year!
The SRC POW has been divided into four sections, based on the National Strategic Growth Plan:
Deliver meaningful, distinct, relevant, and continuous experiences for Middle School, High School, and Collegiate student members.
Develop a culture in which all are welcome, have complete opportunity, and are actively engaged.

The Southern Region has a wide array of inspiring chapters doing inspiring work promoting Service, Education, and Progress. Picking a chapter to highlight was extremely difficult. But, after careful deliberation I am excited to highlight Coral Gables High School in Coral Gables, FL! Coral Gables has actively involved itself in FBLA State and National Programs. Recently, they partnered with Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Miami to host a weeklong Alzheimer’s Association fundraising and awareness drive. Taking this initiative has inspired other FBLA Local Chapters in the area to take part in FBLA’s National Service Project the Alzheimer’s Association.
Special Congratulations to our Southern Superstar, Selena Feal
