Our brand has already received a new look from the Spring | Summer 2024 season.

A much more expressive and memorable logo will ensure a visual experience and increased recognition value in retail and among our customers.

The 4 Fs symbolise the core values of FABER: FEMININITY, FAMILY, FAIRNESS AND FINESSE.

FABER appeals to the modern woman with her active and emotional lifestyle who is also looking for something new, unusual and diverse in fashion. Our collections in innovative and trendy designs reflect a balance between femininity and sportiness. The high level of fashion, combined with the finest quality, perfect fit and a majority of German knitwear production place the FABER brand in a very special position in the premium sector.

FAMILY

The FABER family business was founded in 1947 by Ernst Faber for the production of women's knitwear in Isaar, Germany. For over 75 years, we are now in the 3rd and 4th generation of successful knitwear production at the highest quality. Over 30 Stoll flat knitting machines run on site around the clock.

FAIRNESS

Fair production standards, the best qualities, sustainable styles and respectful cooperation within the family business and with all our partners are the prerequisites for our actions. Sustainability is not just a marketing measure for us, it has been part of our DNA since our founding.

FINESSE

Starting with the upcoming Spring | Summer 2024 season, our new logo will be in use. It stands for clarity, modernity and ease. These are precisely the qualities you will also perceive throughout the collection and the entire corporate identity.

COMPANY HISTORY

The company Ernst Faber GmbH was founded in 1947 by Ernst Faber in Isaar near Töpen/Germany.

In the early 50s, his sons Herbert and Günter Faber joined the company. Together, they laid the foundation for today‘s Ernst Faber GmbH.

In the 70s and 80s, the 3rd generation, Walter and Markus Faber, joined. Since 2000, they manage the company with their wives Martina and Benita Faber. Since 2018 also the 4th generation is part of the family business.

In 2022, the company Ernst Faber GmbH celebrated its 75th anniversary.

We benefit from long-term, experienced and highly motivated employees. Only by continuously best cooperation between management and our employees it has been possible to trade successfully since 1947.

PRODUCTS

We produce long-lasting products from high quality materials and with the best workmanship. When purchasing our raw materials we ensure that ecological standards are observed. A responsible handling with natural and animal resources are a matter of course for us. For example, no real fur is used.

In order to achieve and maintain our high quality requirements, long-term supplier relationships are essential for us. We also rely on long-term cooperation in sales.

ENVIRONMENT

Thanks to the high percentage of inhouse production „Made in Germany“, long itineraries during the production phase are mostly omitted and significant amounts of CO₂ are saved. Transportation and packing materials are also reduced to a minimum.

SOCIETY

We donate returns or models from previous collections to social institutions and help people in need. Also the support of regional clubs and the education of young people is very important to us.

PRODUCTION & SALES

Since its foundation in 1947, the company manufactures knitwear at its headquarters in Isaar near Töpen. The knitwear is produced by using the latest flat weft knitting machines and a customized logistics system in a modern business. That is a clear commitment to the home location as well as to the company’s principle „quality instead of quantity“.

A powerful sales team of fashion agencies in Germany and abroad is used to sell the Faber brand. There are currently 6 fashion agencies in Germany. In addition, 14 fashion agencies work for Faber in the following countries: Australia, Belgium/Luxembourg, France, Great Britain/Ireland, Italy, Canada, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, Czech Republic/Slovakia, Hungary For Faber, an individual distribution policy and the active partnership between companies, agents and customers represent the basis of many years of success.

COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT

The Faber brand always represents an individual and superior knitwear collection for the modern woman. The customer is looking for a high fashion grade combined with very good quality, best wearing comfort and perfect fit.

Faber is putting an accent on its yarn qualities while working with premium cotton and wool blends equipped with an exclusive “Best Comfort Effect” – a yarn finishing containing aloe vera extract and jojoba oil.

Moreover, new kinds of effect yarns are developed continuously in close cooperation between design and engineering team. These exclusive effect yarns have a very fancy look and at the same time very good wearing and maintaining qualities.

YARN TYPES

COTTON YARN WITH “BEST COMFORT EFFECT”

(50%CO, 50% PC)

Our cotton yarn is equipped with an exclusive “Best Comfort

Effect”. Thanks to an active ingredient combination of vitamin E, aloe vera extract and jojoba oil, our yarn is extremely nourishing and skin-friendly. It has a silk-like soft touch that improves the wearing comfort.

The three ingredients vitamin E, aloe vera extract and jojoba oil are enclosed in a matrix (cover) and are applied to the yarn in a further production step after the yarn has been spun and dyed. During the drying process of the yarn, a coating is applied on the fiber that has “cavities” in which the nourishing substances are enclosed. When the skin rubs against the textile surface, the individual “cavities” open and release the ingredients to the skin and the nourishing and skin-friendly properties can develop their effect.

YARN TYPES

VISCOSE STRETCH YARN (69%VI, 29% PC, 2% EL)

The majority of our knitted styles is made from a very comfortable viscose stretch yarn. Viscose is a semi-synthetic chemical fiber spun from natural cellulose fibers. Therefore, viscose is not considered a synthetic fiber. Our sustainable and environmentally friendly viscose stretch yarn regulates moisture optimally, is breathable and has a cooling effect. This composition makes the yarn also very suitable for allergic persons.

PRINTED KNITWEAR

We also use a high-quality viscose yarn for our printed knitwear, which guarantees optimal printing results. The loose mesh knit gives the pieces an additional sporty character and a certain lightness.

WOVEN GOODS

PRINTED WOVEN GOODS

Our woven goods are printed and finished in Germany using the latest digital inkjet printing technology. So we get a product that meets the highest standards. Exclusive patterns that are designed specifically for us also make the goods unique.

UNI WOVEN GOODS

Our designs play with multi-facetted materials. Therefore also different woven fabrics in plain colours are used. From light Tencel looks, to soft scuba, up to shiny satin fabrics.

JERSEY

Matching jersey shirts made from a comfortable viscose blend complete the collection. We offer different models, ranging from allover printed shirts with our exclusive patterns, to shirts with decorative applications, up to simple plain colored shirts.

NEW:ACCESSORIES

New to the collection are accessories that put your outfit into a perfect scene and provide fresh accents. You will find a light summer scarf made from a fine cotton-silk blend in every color theme.

PERFECT FIT

We attach great importance to perfectly fitting fashion and a high level of comfort. We want our customers to feel comfortable –regardless of whether they wear size 34 or 48.

In order to guarantee a perfect fit in all sizes, we check and – if necessary – optimize it several times from the beginning of prototype development till production. Size sets are prepared and assessed for each model before production begins.

INCREASE OF LENGTHS

The length of our pullovers and cardigans increases with the sizing.

The following overview shows examples of how our lengths increase according to the size.

The length of size 38 is our basic length and is stated on the sample hangtags.
