Mr. Francis Kamama Ngui, popularly known as Mr. Ngui, is now a household name. He is a Senior Driving School Instructor at Kenya Bus Service (KBS) Driving School, where he has been at the helm for more than three decades.
Mr. Ngui, now 70, only started off as a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driver at the then Kenya Bus Services Ltd in 1972, the work he did passionately for 10 years. It was then in 1982 that he was promoted to be a Driving School Instructor at KBS Driving School.
As a gentleman who is loved and hailed by many as a very professional trainer, Mr. Ngui has also trained many of the
revered drivers who ply upcountry routes. “One day I was in one of these long-distance buses from Western to Nairobi. When I was alighting, I saw a familiar face on the steering wheel who actually rose up to greet me”, and said apologetically “If I knew you were in this bus, you wouldn’t have paid!”
