LEADERSHIP OF POZNAŃ 2021 vision of the president Dear EYP-er, First and foremost I am beyond excited to read your application for Poznan 2021! While shaping my vision for this session, academic quality, empowerment, social inclusion and fostering a safe environment for work were my primary concerns. I have always valued academic quality in my teams, but to the same degree I value the social quality of the session. I want to provide an atmosphere where one can learn, grow and develop themselves, while at the same time having fun, enjoying the atmosphere and socialising. I am aiming for a well knitted and close team that will be able to create such an environment. As we don’t have much time for pre-session preparation, efficiency is crucial, but I don’t want to trade efficiency for the sake of mental health and wellbeing. Together with my board I want to create a hierarchy of support, that will ensure that everyone is safe and sound while performing their tasks. Throughout my experience in EYP, a key factor in my development has been the support I got from my peers and superiors. Therefore, my priority during Poznan 2021 will be fostering a safe working environment in which you will feel free to completely immerse yourself in the experience. In order to do so, special attention will be given to creating a team of people where everyone, as well as their contributions, feel appreciated and valued. With a theme: “Sustainability: stepping towards a greener future” I want to explore the outer edges of possibilities, and explore other types of sustainability that are not necessarily environment-related. I appreciate innovativity and thinking outside of the box, and I want to reflect those qualities in academic output. vision of the editor I wish to create a wholesome and welcoming environment that encourages each member of the media team to develop both personally and technically. Taking risks, discovering a new way of creating projects or trying something you have never even thought of before are all encouraged. Whatever it is, I hope Poznań to be the session for that. Transparency and open communications are something I value greatly, both within the media team and with the whole session. I want us to work as a team, not just within the members of the media team, but with the whole session. By putting emphasis on teambuilding already before the start of the session, we can ensure that by the time the session starts, we are already a team. The better we work together, the better the output will be. I want to emphasise the importance of the theme of the session through the media output. Whether the projects are created in an eco-friendly way, or make the viewer think about sustainability, it is an important topic that should be brought to the attention of everyone. Lastly, I want to ensure that each member is stress-free and taking care of their wellbeing. Digital sessions can be quite demanding both physically and mentally. Sitting in front of your laptop for the whole day is really not good for you. I want the media team to work in a way that ensures the wellbeing of all members, whether that is through fun midday activities or working on an adaptive and flexible schedule. vision of the head of jury Dear potential applicant, Be this your first, second or tenth time applying as a Jury Member, thank you for your interest in Poznań 2021. I believe that after reading my vision, you will be even more willing to apply and join me on this journey! We have not been able to meet for almost a year in physical sessions, a new generation of digital EYPers has grown and is continuing to do so without having experienced what we call a ‚normal’ session. Therefore, my vision for Poznań Jury Team is to create a new ‚normal’ by providing the fullest experience for your growth as well as the development of every delegate throughout the whole process. I deeply believe that opportunities given to us should be used to it’s fullest extent. Keeping that in mind, the Jury Team will play a part in both
the pre-session and post-session process, as well as during Poznań 2021 itself. The way how to do it is up to us to decide and implement. Hence, I will be glad to see Jury Members who are actively willing to contribute to the job of the Jury Team with their own ideas, finding the balance between jurying and entertainment. Usually, the Jury Team is the most disconnected team from others. To avoid this, the Jury Team will be invited to promotee cooperation between all Officials. Collaborating on different projects throughout the whole session will promote not only learning for each Official but also the teaching aspect. I am looking for a diverse team of individuals with different experience levels and focus areas for delegate selection as differences lead to productive discussions and a more fair selection process. Poznań 2021 will focus on the broad concept of sustainability, as our generation is the key stakeholder in shaping the future of our society and environment, and the decisions we make on daily basis, however insignificant may seem, will have a prominent effect on the quality of life of the future generations. During the session, we would like the participants to explore three pillars of sustainability - economic development, social development and environmental protection, and broaden their understanding of what ‘sustainable’ means in practice. We hope for the session to become a forum enabling the participants to enhance their social, public and environmental awareness while looking for innovative solutions to implement imperative sustainable development strategies. Commencement of the social and economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic should also be a moment of reflection about how we can provide the recovery to our planet, and if it’s not possible - what can we do to stop the progressive deterioration of the Earth’s condition? We believe that participation in Poznań 2021 will mobilise young people to further engage as active citizens who will play a crucial role in this new chapter. We aim to create a welcoming and friendly environment for young people, by including a wide range of activities
in the session programme, as we consider the chance to intercommunicate with likeminded individuals from all over Europe to be one of the most valuable opportunities that the EYP network creates. The aspect of interaction with other participants is especially important during these unprecedented times, where young people have highly restricted contact with their peers. Poznań 2021 has already contributed to the creation of a new friendship, a friendship between us - the Head Organisers, what makes us even more convinced of the potential of this session. As we recognise the need to consider sustainability also in terms of one’s ability to sustain themselves and their health, we aim to stress the importance of participants’ well being and regeneration, by adopting the approach balancing work and entertainment. We strongly believe that we must consider the future in making our decisions about the present and promote better practices for a better tomorrow. LEADERSHIP OF KIELCE 2021 vision of the president Dear prospective applicant, Thank you for your interest in the Kielce Regional Session! I hope that this Academic Vision will give you an opportunity to think about your own vision and the things that you want to achieve. If you find that our visions align, I highly encourage you to consider applying for a position in our team. During the past year, we have found our shared notions of community become challenged and adapt, sometimes forcibly, pushing us to discover new forms of solidarity and teamwork. With many of the traditional aspects of our lives moving online, including our passion for active citizenship through EYP, we saw an important focus on:

If you are passionate to build this sense of togetherness within our Academic Team, I strongly encourage you to consider applying and exploring this theme with us! For the academic vision in particular, two main items I would like us to collaborate on: learning by doing and innovating for all.
Learning by doing
In my vision, training makes EYP unique by empowering all team members to grow and support each other through their shared experiences. Taking this idea one step further at Kielce, we will create training opportunities out of every aspect of the process for both the Board and the Chairpersons. First, I aim to encourage Vice Presidents to take ownership and co-decide many aspects of their work, empowering them through original trainings providing a thorough understanding of the position. Through this empowerment process, the Vice Presidents will be responsible for supporting the Chairpersons and encouraging them to share their knowledge on aspects they feel comfortable with, as well as to challenge themselves in exploring new experiences.
Innovating for all
As I believe that innovation, especially in the context of EYP, should fully serve the people who implement it, I intend for our team to create togetherness in the online era by sharing ideas openly and understanding what works best for everyone through a transparent, frequent feedback process. Trusting everyone to take an active role in this exploration, regardless of their level of experience, I would like us to collaborate on finding new approaches to the new opportunities offered by EYP. This goal will certainly be supplemented by the first aspect of the vision, focused on learning, as everyone will receive all necessary the support and resources to formulate their creative ideas. In particular, we will work hard on creative perspectives to important topics such as welfare, delegates’ engagement, and training, striving to find an approach tailored to the needs of our team and of the Delegates. Through this

ownership-based approach, I hope to encourage everyone to truly leave their mark on our team’s presence and output! vision of the editor Kielce 2021 will be a session where we discover how to connect with each other; overcoming the physical distance between us. This session is the perfect place to pioneer ways to connect through digital platforms as the theme is „Togetherness: sense of belonging in a digital era”. The media team of Kielce 2021 will work in diverse fields and will have a chance to experiment with unique ideas. I view the media team as a team that creates and captures memories of the participants and I really want this purpose to be fully served. Participants of Kielce 2021 will definitely have lots of great media projects that even years after the session they will be able to look at them and re-live their best memories of the session while a smile forms on their faces. The Kielce 2021 media team will focus on a part that I hope to see more at the sessions in the future; the creation of memories. There will be projects that are collaboratively created by all of the participants and some projects to create a closer bond within all participants and a bond between them and the session as a whole. Additionally, some of the projects will be dedicated to the academic part of the session; to inform the youth about critical issues and the actions they can take. Although these will be the main goals of the media team in Kielce, I am hoping to shape the work of the media team altogether with the editorial and the media team. Kielce 2021 will welcome creative minds who want to try out new elements and shape the media of digital sessions, no matter how experienced they are in EYP, or how many digital events they have attended. The media team will consist of innovative, motivated people that have a lot of variety in itself in terms of EYP backgrounds, media skills, and interests. vision of the head of jury Dear potential applicant, Thank you for your interest in Kielce 2021! Hopefully my vision will resonate with you and you want to help us make this event a success! The theme of the session is „Togetherness: sense of belonging in a digital era,” and I feel this is especially important for any jury team, digital or otherwise. We cannot create a good and fair overview of delegates if we do not work well together. Therefore, my vision is for a transparent and approachable jury team, where everyone’s opinions hold equal weight. There will be no hierarchy, but a focus on pre-session training and bonding to grow our confidence in our own abilities and in each other. Whilst I aim to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere, we should still always take it seriously. It’s important to remember the reason we are doing this in the first place. We are selecting delegates who we believe will positively contribute to EYP and who will develop from this opportunity. Every delegate is important and it is our responsibility and privilege to unbiasedly evaluate delegates, to provide them with constructive feedback. This applies to our own team too, as we should be able to look inwardly and self evaluate, in order that the whole team can work together to develop ourselves and each other. We all should be comfortable with expressing our opinions and never be afraid of asking questions or voicing our problems. As we have a good overview of the whole session, we have a unique opportunity to promote cooperation between all officials. I would love my jury members to be able to contribute their own ideas to this, and to all the other aspects mentioned in this vision! vision of the head organisers One thing that the year 2020 taught us is that we cannot leave anybody behind. Hence, the theme for Digital Regional Selection Conference Kielce 2021 was born – togetherness. There is nothing more important than helping each other. Society may not look as we know it in a few years if we do not cooperate and acknowledge that the future is us. Kielce is one of the bigger cities located in the centre of Poland – and
Europe. What makes Kielce stand out are the constantly progressing areas it is known for, while still maintaining the sense of locality and cultural identity. Starting from agriculture, going through limestone mining, metallurgic resources and nowadays focusing on promoting technology. With the renowned University of Technology and initiatives such as Technology Park – uniting the corporations from Poland and abroad. Kielce is an example that inspired us for this session’s main objective Togetherness: sense of belonging in a digital era. Moreover, 2020 enhanced the already progressive process of digitalisation. Undoubtedly, it happened unexpectedly and developed immediately. We were forced to adapt to the abrupt changes. Traditional parts of our lives, such as school and friends meetings, were moved to virtual reality. Our presence on the Internet is more noticeable than ever before. We learned how to choose the best parts of it and use it efficiently. Nevertheless, it also exposed how much we depend on technology. It highlighted some omitted issues and now they are visible more than ever. By organising this session we want to raise awareness about the current processes, explore its benefits and observe threats. We see digitalisation as a huge opportunity to strengthen the EYP community. We wish that during the session everybody feels the sense of belonging. Furthermore, we aspire to make everybody feel welcomed. Our aim is to confirm everyone’s belief that this is the right place at the right time. Crucial part of our vision is appreciating each other. LEADERSHIP OF GLIWICE 2021 vision of the president
Regardless of the many disasters COVID brought to our lives, it also taught us the importance of innovation by forcing everyone to rethink their way of work. For example, we started to have more and well spread pre-session preparations, came up with different workshops and reached out to people from various backgrounds. In line with the theme of the session “Innovation: Creating an empowered European society”, I would like to encourage the academic team to view Gliwice as a blank page they can use to brainstorm some new ideas without being limited by the standards. Whether you would like to try out new Team Building activities or follow a different CW style, the board will be there to support you as much as we can. To build upon the innovation aspect in the academic side, we will also have topics focusing on areas where innovation can be utilised to yield better and more importantly equal results. Therefore you can expect some unique topics and a safe environment where the only failure is not trying! I can promise you fun meetings, good vibes, useful modules and a lot of space for self growth in Gliwice 2021. Hopefully, this session will be a unique experience for all of the participants by giving them an opportunity to reflect on everything the past year has taught us, select the good things and implement them further to discover various potentials. vision of the editor At Gliwice 2021, I would love to move outside the box with this regional session and try to implement different forms of media from the traditional output. I would love to engage with my team and create content such as podcasts, websites, live streams and more current media. One of the most important things to focus on at this session is team development. I want personal development of the team to be a priority. I would like to put a focus on team dynamics and team building. I want

to create a warm, informal and welcoming environment for my team where they can be open minded and creative to their heart’s content. One thing that is often overlooked which I would like to implement to this session is an equal balance of personal development and skill development. I would like to fulfill the needs of the media team by helping them fulfill their personal goals at the session whether this be a skill based goal or otherwise. I think this will help me create that humble, stress free environment that I hope will be accepted well. Another aspect I would love to add to this session is a focus on working across teams. I would love for the media team to work alongside other teams to gain more experience and also build relationships with other officials. I hope that after reading through my vision you will be even more encouraged to embark on this wonderful journey with me! First and foremost, previous experience regarding the role of a Jury Member could not be less important to me. My aim is to create a diverse and flexible team, consisting of people who are willing to contribute to the creation of a warm and welcoming environment both within the team and for all the participants of the session. Keeping in mind the session’s theme, “Innovation: Creating an empowered European society”, I would like the work of the Jury Team to be based on two main ideas: innovation and empowerment. As digital sessions have been our reality for more than a year, it is time for the selection procedure to be reshaped according to the needs of this new digital format. Using the, more than enough, time prior to Gliwice 2021, our team will be focused on creating a new and innovative process of selecting delegates while always ensuring its fairness towards everyone. Additionally, I envision the work of the Jury Team to be much more delegate-oriented than it usually is. As such, every Juror will try to find the best way to support each delegate in better understanding and embracing themselves. Furthermore, empowerment will be a significant aspect of the Jury Team as well. I aspire to create a flat-structured team, in which every Jury Member will be given the opportunity to actively contribute in shaping the session’s vision and achieve their personal development goals. Fundamental to achieving this goal will be fostering open and honest communication within our team but also between the Jury Team and the rest of the officials as well, allowing for a more relaxed and fun atmosphere before, during and after the session.
Finally, I understand that being a Jury Member at a digital session can be exhausting, both physically and mentally. For this reason, I will do my best to prioritize your wellbeing and welfare throughout the session. At the same time, given that my vision revolves around innovation and engagement, I expect of you to be responsible, consistent and willing to try out new ideas, regardless of their failure or success. vision of the head organisers Silesia is a place where different cultures collide with each other. Where both great German and Czech influences can be observed, making Silesia a melting pot of Europe’s heritage and history. During our session, we want to put an emphasis on that and cherish the differences between us while realising the things that connect us. It is vital to build bridges between different cultures as we are all creating tomorrow’s society of brighter and more innovative Europe. During Gliwice 2021 we want to create a safe environment for all of its participants where everyone, no matter their background, can feel welcomed and accepted. We want to underline the importance of inclusion and diversity as Silesia is the epitome of hospitality and of numerous stories coming together. Following our theme “Innovation: creating an empowered European society” we have a mission to make all the participants feel inspired and motivated at the end of the session. We would love to encourage everyone to think about their personal growth and to invite our participants to step out of their comfort zones and try out something new, be it a new role during the session or posing oneself challenges to the roles one has already tried out. Our goal is to make everyone participating in the session feel they have learnt something during the time we have spent together. Moreover, we invite them to continue their journey with EYP or other European organisations. At the end of the day, we want the participants to feel they are a part of a wider European society and that although we might come from different parts of Europe, we are one big
family. Our vision for the delegates would be to invite them to think about the future of Europe and our place, as a young generation, in it. By debating we want to urge the delegates to think about how we can innovate what we already know so that our continent can become better prepared for the changing world and adapt to the changes happening. We want the delegates to feel them having an impact on the future of Europe by participating in events such as RSC Gliwice 2021. We envision our cooperation with the rest of the leadership to be very close and based on friendships and respect. When it comes to the organising team we would like to underline the meaning of good cooperation based on a saying that the opinion of every person is valuable and thus we want to emphasise the importance of personal involvement in the project.
