Dear EYP alumni,

It is our greatest pleasure to launch the Call for Officials for Kraków 2016, the 13th National Selection Conference of European Youth Parliament Poland!

Under the theme Shaping Ideas for Tomorrow’s Europe the session will gather 120 delegates, as well as two international delegations. For Officials, the session’s dates range from the 1st until the 5th of September 2016.

Kraków 2016 will be Head-Organised by NC Board Members Alicja Turakiewicz and Marta Sznajder.

The President of the session is Fahad Saher from the Netherlands.

We are now looking for 2 Vice-Presidents, 10 Chairpersons, 1-2 Editors, 1-2 Members of the Editorial Team and 10 Media Team Members. Officials are expected to arrive on the 1st of September by no later than 12:00 CET. There is no participation fee for international officials, the fee for Polish officials is 150 PLN. Please note that the Vice-Presidents will not be chairing committees, as they will form a floating board together with the President. Chairpersons will lead committees individually and will be supported by the board and the Trainer.

A word from the Head-Organisers and the President

Dear potential participant of Kraków 2016,

An old proverb once said: “opportunity knocks only once”. Now, this may not entirely be true in an EYP context. After all, there is an abundant amount of sessions that you can attend in which you can explore new possibilities. Opportunities are always present. They may not always be at the door, but they are usually within a comfortable distance, or at worst, around the corner. So, why would Kraków 2016 be any different?

We are looking for people who can make things happen. Amongst many other things, this NSC will aim to gather a team of skilled individuals whose contribution will blend into one collective effort and vision. Kraków 2016 will be a stage in which your creativity will be stimulated, your ideas nurtured, and what you know challenged. The returns of your efforts will be no more and no less than what you are willing to invest. We therefore call on applicants with reliable working ethics, a can-do attitude and a thirst for personal development. Kraków 2016 will distinguish itself by fostering an atmosphere of true collective ownership. Together, we will craft an event in which you will have a voice in how the session will be shaped.

If you seek to play an integral role in consolidating the concept for the session and thrive in team leadership, you would do well applying as a Vice-President. In our Chairpersons we look for role models and who inspire and motivate teamwork in their committees. If you make a solid team leader who is looking to truly impact the session in a thought-through vision, you are invited to apply as an Editor. Our aim is to have all teams support the Media Team in realising their ideas.
