No holding back: new Neighbourhood Sergeant Philippa Payne threw herself into the festivities at the Community Open Day on 10 May, as Maid of the Mill for Eynsham Morris Eynsham continues to renew itself. Just when you thought there was no room in the calendar, here are two more reasons to get involved. Folk Weekend, coinciding with Open Gardens (page 5), looks set to go from strength to strength. Three weeks on, Fishponds Foray offers activities and insights – and a memorable party – for young and old (page 6). Meantime, Shirt Race and Carnival have come up with new enticements. Do get out and support them too. Several new contributors grace this issue; a warm welcome to them and thanks for sharing.
