Our debut at SILMO Paris earlier this autumn proved to us that well-made, thoughtfully designed eyewear has universal appeal. In this issue, we are delighted to present some of the collections which garnered the most excitement.
The Range Rover optical collection presents a highly anticipated launch of 12 new frames precision crafted from M49 bioacetate by prestigious Italian material manufacturer Mazzucchelli 1849. The acetate designs feature a unique Japanese hand-polished raw edge at the upper rim; the result of a four-step process requiring masterful craftsmanship which gives a subtle emphasis to each design’s unique line and form inspired by the design architecture of the iconic vehicles. Branding is discreet with understated detailing including metal rivets at the lug and bespoke sculpted temples in high performance Japanese titanium. The latest innovation from Cocoa Mint sees a new iteration of high-definition print techniques with vibrant patterns at the temple, inspired by runway trends. Rich jewel-tones tell this season’s colour stories in a considered Autumnal palette, reflecting the brand’s relaxed glamour ethos and intelligent use of colour. Basebox brings a dose of street style with an urban edge with two models inspired by emerging trends in frame fashion, while Louis Marcel’s latest frame offers unparalleled elegance with a dazzling temple detail synonymous with the brand. Both brand’s releases are made using biodegradable bioacetate, continuing our mission to produce the most desirable sustainable eyewear across our portfolio.
Which brings us to our final exciting update; our family budget collection Zips is the latest to introduce eco-friendly products which means that every brand in the Eyespace portfolio now offers sustainable eyewear. Five new models in vibrant colours and stylish eyeshapes are crafted from castor seed cellulose making sustainable eyewear accessible to the widest range of patients.
