Ian Sigal, PhD

RBP Stein Innovation Award – Research to Prevent Blindness – to support the development of novel biomechanics-based therapeutic approaches to glaucoma.

Exploratory Award – Hillman Innovation Award – Super-resolution ultrasound imaging of blood flow within the rabbit optic nerve head.

Andrew Williams, MD

Research to Prevent Blindness and American Academy of Ophthalmology Award for IRIS® Registry Research in 2021. The grant supports selected investigators to use the IRIS Registry database and its analytic capabilities to further populationbased research in ophthalmology and blindness prevention.

Mentoring for Advancement of Physician Scientists (MAPS) award from the America Glaucoma Society. The MAPS award is given annually to further the careers of young clinician-scientists as potential leaders in the specialty of glaucoma care. This grant will support Dr. Williams’ proposed project to address the problem of “no show” visits in glaucoma.
