GREENWAYS EXTREMADURA

IN EXTREMADURA GREENWAYS
There are thousands of ways to enjoy Extremadura, and one of them is touring its 170 km of Greenways.
In the past, these routes were used by the railway for both public transportation and the shipment of goods. Over time they fell into disuse and some were never even travelled.
Today, they have been restored and transformed into accessible routes, ready for anyone—regardless of age or physical condition—to enjoy them by walking, cycling, or simply strolling.
And the best part is that you won't just be following the route. Along the way you will find charming villages, unique stops where you can take a break, old train stations, and monuments that highlight Extremadura's heritage.
This guide will be your travel companion and will show you a different and unique way to explore the region.
