Safe, well-maintained bus shelters with clear passenger information are an important step in making sustainable journeys a viable alternative to private vehicles. Our experience as bus shelter manufacturers and innovators, supplying, installing, maintaining and managing bus stop infrastructure means we are uniquely well-placed to understand the priorities of the modern passenger and transport system. We have created the MONO Shelter to be easy to install, simple to maintain and to last for a generation. MONO Standard Shelter The Mono Standard shelter can be fitted with three different roof types. It is designed to be easily installed and maintained, and accessories can be fitted at the time of installation or retrofitted. Available in cantilever and enclosed formats, with 2 to 5 bays, you can choose from a wide range of options, including side protection panels, glazing, lighting, solar panels, seating, information displays, and real time passenger information. It can be supplied with a green living roof.

RTPI Real Time Passenger Information

Battery or mains powered RTPI displays can be fitted to MONO shelters.

Mains powered The distance from the underside of the display is 2.1m from finished ground level or 2.4m if on a shared use footway.

All cabling is hidden within the structure.

RTPI is on a separate circuit with an isolator on an internal feeder pillar located under the seat.

Universal RTPI brackets with 700mm hole centres are fitted to the approach gantry so the display is perpendicular to the kerb On larger shelters the displays can be located back to back centrally Battery operated They can be located on the approach gantry however as they are so slim they can also be located on a rear upper panel

Robust, durable and high quality, our Mono Cycle shelters are designed to support sustainable, active travel schemes in any location, and especially city and town centres where bicycle theft and vandalism can be a serious deterrent to adoption. Our Mono Cycle shelters provide safe bike parking where it’s needed most. Features include: Secure cycle parking to lock both frame and wheel.

A range of stand options including Sheffield stands and M profile stands, which can accommodate a wide variety of cycle shapes and sizes, including children’s cycles.

Bicycle and scooter e-charging points.

Protection from the elements including a range of options for roof, side and end panels.

Solar panels (and associated infrastructure – roof or pole mounted).

Sustainability & Social Value We are actively working towards Net Zero by 2050 and choose to work with suppliers who share this commitment. We aim to reduce the overall carbon footprint of our products and operations alongside working towards establishing the embodied carbon status of our products.

SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS AND LONGEVITY Our shelters and bus stop poles are constructed from durable extruded aluminium billett, designed for long life and ease of maintenance. From 2025, they will exclusively be made using 100% recycled aluminium from one of Europe’s leading sustainable aluminium mills, whose goal by mid-2025 is for 100% of power used in their production to come from renewable energy sources - mainly solar).

WASTE REDUCTION & CIRCULAR ECONOMY PRACTICES We prioritise recycling and modular design. Our manufacturing facility and offices send zero waste to landfill, metal waste is re-used or recycled and in the past 2 years we have reduced packaging by 40%, including a 62% reduction in single-use plastics. Shelters are modular, allowing components to be reused or repurposed, supporting circular economy goals.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLES Many of our shelters operate entirely on renewable energy and battery power, incorporating solar panels, PIR sensor lighting, and wireless charging for mobile phones. By 2025, all our facilities will be powered by renewable energy.

BIODIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION We integrate green roof technology to enhance biodiversity, support pollinators, and contribute to climate change mitigation. Additionally, a percentage of contract values from long-term projects is allocated to local and national conservation initiatives.

EMISSION REDUCTION & SUPPLY CHAIN IMPROVEMENTS We source materials locally (UK and European suppliers), use Euro 6 diesel vehicles. We are also preparing to conduct Scope 3 Carbon Auditing for our value chain.
