User Focused Web Design

When it comes to company branding and websites, webdesigners/developers must understand audience personas and design with them in mind. These rhetorical decisions can make or break the online identity and the entire brand. Due to the digital age and smartphones, websites have become one of the most prevalent forms of advertisement used today.

Websites are a platform for companies to not only provide information to specific audiences for specific purposes but also to provide a means of discourse between the business and its audience. Over time, websites have transformed the means through which companies and organizations reach their customers. Therefore, design and functionality are extremely important.

(user interface) refers to every component within information technology with which users interact. Think of elements you touch such as your smartphone, keyboard, monitor, mouse, and screen. The user interface also refers to the way said users interact with a website or application. UI and UX are often discussed in correlation to one another. While UI refers to the elements with information technology and how users interact, UX (user experience) refers to the look and feel of the layout, content, and efficiency (think response time, etc.) of the device and interactive components of a website or application.
UI has come a long way as technology has improved over time. Early computers provided very little in terms of the user interface. They may have come with buttons or a punch card but that was pretty much it. Then came the command line interface, which was essentially a blank screen and a keyboard for users to key command prompts as a way to navigate choices within the computer.
Finally came the introduction of the GUI (Graphical User Interface). With help from Apple and standardization through Microsoft, the GUI offered users everything we now take for granted including windows, menus, buttons, and icons. As GUI swept across computer systems everywhere, it came to include multimedia components such as sound, voice, video, and virtual reality.

or User Experience design integrates all aspects of brand, design, usability, and function. Without UX, you are left with a blank template UI that lacks functionality and customization. UX designers are focused no user experience and user satisfaction. This is the element of marketing that serves to connect on an emotional level with users.
In Marketing Strategy , we explained that the goal of experiential marketing is to form a memorable and emotional connection between the consumer and your brand to generate customer loyalty and influence purchase decisions. And, we repeatedly stress the importance of brand cohesion and consistency through all marketing mediums. UX is the driver behind that connection, ensuring a solid and positive brand experience with all products and marketing.
We’d love to help pave your way towards building that connection with your clients and prospective customers.
