Editor's Note Here we go again! I am extremely proud of this issue both personally and professionally. Not only do we have our first plus size cover girl (Marlissa Clark) but there has been an amazing increase in quality of content from the first issue to now. Not even a year ago, this magazine was just a thought. Now it's growing and forming into such an awesome publication and experience. Our purpose will always be to promote and inspire the independent and emerging fashion creatives. SOUTH GEORGIA FASHION WEEK
Albany's annual fashion showcase, created by Charlie Hill-Henderson, will be returning September 23rd through the 25th as South Georgia Fashion Week. SGFW will host three runway shows and an art & fashion showcase over three days in Albany. Designers, boutiques, models, makeup artists and hairstylists from all over the south will come together to feature their latest designs and trends for adults and children. Friday September 23rd will see the return of “Dangerous Curves” a plus size fashion showcase. “Dangerous Curves was so popular in the past, we had to bring it back this year. Everyone is excited to see what the designers create this year”, said Charlie Hill-Henderson, SGFW CEO. 53

SGFW will host two shows Saturday, September 24th starting with “Kids on the Runway” at 1:00pm, which will feature children’s fashion from local designers and boutiques. Next up at 7pm will be “Fashion Lives, an INDIE Designer Show” featuring womens and mens ready to wear fashion lines from talented independent designers. On Sunday SGFW will come to a close with a special showcase, “Fashion Is Art”, an exhibit combining the talents of designers and visual artists. This will be the first time Mrs. HillHenderson will be showcasing both the visual arts and fashion together in one show. Tickets are now available online, www.southgeorgiafashionweek.com.

Modeling 101 The "Model Bag"
In the last issue, we addressed preparing for a photoshoot. I'd like to expand on that now and talk about the model bag specifically. "What is a model bag?" A Model Bag is a suitcase or duffel bag containing various clothing, makeup and toiletries that models carry from job to job. A complete model bag is essential to being prepared for any model job; whether it be a runway show, fashion editorial or commercial. Its contents ensure that the model will be prepared for any situation, any look, any request. Hopefully this helps you to prepare for your next opportunity! Now let's talk about what goes into your model bag: -appointment book -bobby pins – essential for keeping hair in place. -bras – nude, black, and white. The nude bra should be convertible to different strap combinations. no lace and smooth. They should fit well. Have clear and nude straps for the nude bra. Clips that change the way the straps lay are also very helpful. -business cards/comp cards -cell phone - turn it off during shoot -chicken cutlets, falsies, or similar aid -cotton swabs/cotton balls/cotton pads -fashion clips-these are available in black and white and are short elastic bands with clips on either end that are used to make clothing fit that doesn't. You can purchase them at most fabric stores. -extra feminine hygiene products -hair bands -hand sanitizer -lip balm -makeup remover -medications and first aid kit -minimal makeup (foundation and mascara) -panties (nude, white, and black) -pencil sharpener -picture ID 61

-portfolio or book -safety pins -snacks -stain stick pin -swim suit – two piece. If you can get the top as something strapless, even better. -tissue paper -Bottle of water -body lotion/baby oil gel – double bag in a zip lock bag so it doesn't leak out and mess everything else up. -body shaper/girdle/cincher -book/mp3 player/entertainment – for the moments you are waiting (and there will be times you do) -bra – seamless (no straps of any kind) -deodorant (clear) -eye drops/fake lashes/eye lash glue/tweezers -hair extensions (clip on)/clip on pony tails/ wigs/hair clips/hair decorations -hair spray/brushes/combs/curling iron/ straightener -hosiery – variety of colors and patterns and types -jewelry – small assortment relating to what is being shot. Simple items work best. This includes bracelets, ear rings, necklaces, sunglasses, pins, and other bling. -lint brush/tape roller/double sided tape/clear masking tape -measuring tape -nail kit -razor – disposable and shave cream -lightweight robe -scissors -sewing kit-sewing needles/threads/etc. -comfortable shoes to walk in -small roll of toilet paper -toothbrush/toothpaste/mouth wash -towel -tube top/body stocking

Upon reviewing submissions, Exposure The Magazine reserves the right to Accept or Deny any submission we receive. Exposure The Magazine doesn’t provide free print copies. We are looking for only UNPUBLISHED editorials. Once your submissions are accepted they must not be posted online or any social media until the magazine is released. Submission Guidelines: * We accept Editorial Fashion, Beauty, Hair & Article Submissions. * All submission should be between at least 4-6 images. Once your submission is accepted for publication the files sizes required are: 8.5X11 for Portraits at 300dpi. * When submitting for consideration, always submit your images in low-resolution as attachments, include the photographer’s name and a title for the story. Please do not submit high resolution attachments, or zipped files for review. If you are submitting the editorial and are not the photographer, you will be required to provide us with a release from the photographer or copyright owner. * For fashion submissions, wardrobe credits are required. It must contain wardrobe and/or accessories from designers and brands located in the south. For Beauty submissions, makeup credits are required. All editorials must have 3-6 different looks, editorials with one look won’t be accepted. * Team credits are essential for all submissions. We won’t be held accountable for any missing or misspelled credit. If for any reason a submission is published and an individual/s credit is missing, the person who submitted the feature will be held responsible. Along with model’s name be sure the list the agency name. Be sure to send credits as editable pdf files or Word Files. * Once an image is accepted to be published, it grants us the permission to use your work in any of our publications, websites, videos, marketing pieces, advertisements, and any other mediums or formats used in the creation, dissemination, and monetization of Exposure The Magazine. * Once a submission is accepted by Exposure The Magazine, it must not be published in any other magazine, website, blog and Social Media networks. Once we realize that the images are published in these mediums before the particular issue is being released, we reserve the right to pull that submission from our issue without your consent.
