Collection and sorting
Used PET bottles are collected and separated from other plastics, often sorted by colour.
Cleaning and shredding
Caps and labels are removed. The bottles are washed and shredded into plastic flakes.
Melting and yarn production
From yarn to fabric
The flakes are melted and purified, turned into granules and spun into long, fine yarns. The yarns are woven or knitted into textiles, ready for dyeing and finishing.

What started in 2011 as Aqua Licious grew into Vaya Vida, a colourful lifestyle brand where style, sustainability and family come together, inspired by life outdoors, on the road and on holiday.
Our story began with a simple yet thoughtful idea: a reusable, foldable water bottle with its own unique design, created to reduce plastic waste while still feeling stylish and joyful. It was Esther who first developed this concept, from design to trade fairs and the very first sales moments. From her love for practical yet beautiful products, a collection emerged that soon expanded beyond water bottles alone.
As life evolved, so did the collection. Shoppers for days out, Travel Bags for sunny holidays, Beach Towels for long days at the beach and more matching products followed. What began as a single product became a complete concept: one design, translated across multiple essentials, allowing favorite designs you can use all day long: at home, on the go and while travelling.
