Durante cuatro emocionantes jornadas, los mejores jinetes y caballos del mundo competirán y brindarán al público un espectáculo deportivo de primer nivel, que conjuga la elegancia, la precisión y la emoción, lo que distingue al salto ecuestre como una disciplina verdaderamente única.

El mejor circuito hípico del mundo vuelve a México. Llega el Longines Global Champions Tour que en 2026 cumple su XX Aniversario. Ya han pasado dos décadas desde la primera edición de la denominada F1 de la hípica. El tour visitará 17 exclusivas ciudades y repartirá más de 50 millones de USD en premios. Esta temporada se incorpora El Cairo y regresa Miami.
Ciudad de México será la segunda etapa del Longines Global Champions Tour y de la Global Champions League, circuito en el que participan 17 equipos. Entre ellos, el team local “Mexico Amigos” que contará con el apoyo incondicional del público.
La pista verde del Campo Marte volverá a ser el epicentro de la hípica mundial para orgullo de México y de todos los mexicanos. Este gran evento no sería posible sin el apoyo de GNP Seguros que vuelve a ser presentador y patrocinador principal. Gracias al decidido apoyo de Alejandro Bailleres la consolidación del evento es hoy una realidad.

The best equestrian circuit in the world returns to Mexico. The Longines Global Champions Tour is back, celebrating its XX anniversary in 2026. Two decades have passed since the first edition of what is known as the Formula 1 of show jumping. The tour will visit 17 exclusive cities and award more than 50 million USD in prize money. This season, Cairo joins the circuit and Miami returns.
Mexico City will host the second stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League, a competition featuring 17 teams. Among them is the local team, “Mexico Amigos,” which will enjoy the unwavering support of the home crowd.
The green grass arena of Campo Marte will once again become the epicenter of world equestrian sport, to the pride of Mexico and all Mexicans. This major event would not be possible without the support of GNP Seguros, which once again serves as presenting partner and main sponsor. Thanks to the strong commitment of Alejandro Bailleres, the consolidation of this event is now a reality.

Durante el Longines Global Champions Tour de 2026, la casa relojera suiza Longines se enorgullece de presentar un modelo sacado de la renovada colección HydroConquest. Esta nueva generación, que aprovecha casi dos siglos de excelencia relojera suiza, combina una estética moderna con rendimiento demostrado y aporta un refinamiento atrevido para cada ocasión. Cuatro nuevas esferas y cinco colores de impresión para los biseles de cerámica se completan con una recientemente incorporada pulsera de malla milanesa.
Desde su presentación en 2007, la colección HydroConquest ha encarnado el enfoque distintivo de Longines en términos de relojería, con el que se combina una sólida funcionalidad y la elegancia silenciosa que define a la marca. Drawing inspiration from maritime adventure while maintaining refined design principles, these timepieces have established themselves as sporty companions that transition seamlessly from active pursuits to elegant occasions.
The reimagined HydroConquest line features automatic models in two versatile sizes. The 39-mm and 42-mm stainless-steel cases deliver contemporary
proportions that balance presence with wearability. Five ceramic bezel colours frame these dials: classic black, blue and slate grey are joined by two vibrant new shades – verdant green and luminous blue. With a screw-in crown and robust construction, these timepieces offer a water resistance of up to 30 bar (300 metres).

La GCL es la principal competencia por equipos del salto ecuestre, donde los mejores jinetes del mundo unen fuerzas para competir a lo largo de una temporada global de 17 etapas, que culmina con una final de alta intensidad en los GC Playoffs de la GCL Super Cup.
Lanzada en 2016, la GCL revolucionó el deporte al introducir un formato por equipos, permitiendo que jinetes de diferentes nacionalidades, incluidos grandes estrellas del circuito y jóvenes talentos U25, compitan juntos bajo un mismo equipo.
Dentro de un equipo GCL

SHOW JUMPING’S ULTIMATE TEAM SHOWDOWN
GCL is show jumping’s premier team competition, where the world’s best riders join forces to compete across a 17-stage global season, culminating in the high-intensity finale at the GC Playoffs of the GCL Super Cup. Launched in 2016, GCL revolutionised the sport by introducing a team format, allowing riders of different nationalities - including senior stars and U25 rising talent - to compete together under one team banner.
Inside a GCL Team
Each of the 17 teams is made up of six riders, including at least one U25 athlete, and is guided by a team manager who makes key tactical decisions throughout the season. Mid-season transfers allow teams to adapt and strengthen as the championship unfolds.
At each event the team can send three riders but only two riders compete in each round. The team mangers can decide to switch horse or riders between round 1 & 2
How GCL Works
Each GCL event follows a two-round, same-day format with GCL Round 1 held at CSI5* 1.60m and Round 2 CSI 5* 1.55m level:

The commercial village will offer a unique experience for all attendees, featuring the GNP children's area, food trucks, premium stands, and much more.

¿Qué significa para ti que México se consolide como sede permanente del LGCT?
Para mí, significa mucho más que una competencia ecuestre. Es un motivo de profundo orgullo por mi país, por su cultura, sus raíces y su historia. Ver a México ocupar un lugar tan relevante dentro de este circuito internacional va mucho más allá del deporte; es una forma de honrar quiénes somos.
Este evento se ha convertido en una ventana para compartir con el mundo la riqueza de México: su identidad, su energía y su gente. Queremos que quienes nos visitan no solo vengan a competir, sino que realmente vivan México, que descubran su cultura y conecten con su esencia. Y si hay algo que nos define, es la calidez con la que recibimos a los demás. Ver eso reflejado aquí es algo que me emociona profundamente.
1. Ten years later, what does it mean to you that Mexico has established itself as a permanent LGCT venue?
For me, Mexico establishing itself as a permanent host of the LGCT means far more than an equestrian competition.
I feel deeply proud of my country culture, its roots, its history and seeing Mexico hold such an important place within this international circuit goes far beyond sport; it is a way of honoring who we are.
This event has become a window through which we can share the richness of Mexico with the world: its identity, its energy, its people. We want those who visit not only to come and compete, but to truly experience Mexico, to discover its culture and connect with its essence.
Because if there is something that defines us, it is the warmth of our people the unique way we welcome, share, and make others feel at home. To see that reflected in this event is, truly, something that moves me deeply.

Sin duda, su capacidad de integrar la riqueza cultural de una manera auténtica, tanto dentro como fuera de la pista. Pero es dentro de la pista donde sucede algo verdaderamente extraordinario. Desde los alebrijes, los colores vibrantes y los elementos artísticos del folclore mexicano, hasta el diseño del recorrido con la icónica bandera de Campo Marte, todo se convierte en una experiencia visual impactante. Cada detalle está pensado para reflejar la identidad de México, transformando la competencia en una expresión cultural viva.
Ese toque mexicano, lleno de color, historia y carácter, hace que cada momento sea único. Es lo que convierte a esta sede en algo realmente inolvidable.
2. What do you think sets the Mexican stage apart from the rest of the circuit?
Mexico is, without a doubt, one of the most unique stages on the circuit, as it integrates its cultural richness in a truly authentic way, both inside and outside the arena.
But it is especially within the arena where something extraordinary happens. the alebrijes, the vibrant colors, the artistic elements and Mexican folklore, to the design of the course itself featuring the iconic Campo Marte flag everything becomes a striking visual experience.
Every detail is carefully crafted to reflect Mexico’s identity, transforming the competition into something far beyond a sporting event: it becomes a living cultural expression.
This Mexican touch, full of color, history, and character, makes every image, every round, and every moment inside the arena truly unique. It is what makes this stage so special and, in many ways, unforgettable.
¿Cuáles han sido los momentos más memorables para ti?
Ha habido muchos, pero hay dos que destacan profundamente.
El primero fue el recorrido limpio de Nicolás Pizarro en el Gran Premio. Hubo un silencio absoluto, casi sagrado, en el que todo el público contenía la respiración. Y cuando terminó, fue como si todo México estallaemoción, orgullo y unión. Es un momento que aún hoy se siente en la piel.
El segundo fue el retiro de Babel, el caballo de mi hermano, Patricio Pasquel. Un atleta extraordinario que marcó momentos inolvidables tanto para nuestra familia como para México. Fue un instante lleno de emoción, gratitud e historia. Haber sido parte de su trayectoria es un privilegio inmenso.
3. What has been the most special moment you have experienced during these ten editions?
The first was when Nicolás Pizarro delivered a clear round in the Grand Prix. There was an absolute silence almost sacred a collective pause where the entire audience held its breath. And when that perfect round was completed, it felt as if all of Mexico erupted. It was an explosion of emotion, pride, and unity. As Mexicans, we always want to see one of our own succeed, and that moment was something you could feel in your skin. Even now, just remembering it gives me goosebumps.
There have been many meaningful moments, but two stand out as truly unforgettable. 4 3
The second was the retirement of Babel, the horse of my brother, Patricio Pasquel. An extraordinary athlete who gave us unforgettable moments, both to our family and to Mexico. It was a deeply emotional moment, filled with gratitude and history. To have been part of the career of such a horse is an incredible privilege.
These are moments that go beyond sport. They stay with you. They become part of who you are.
¿Qué impacto ha tenido este evento en la equitación en México?
El impacto ha sido muy claro y sumamente positivo. Muchas competencias en el país han elevado significativamente sus estándares: mejor organización, mejor diseño de pistas, infraestructura más sólida y un nivel cada vez más alineado con estándares internacionales.
Esto no se trata solo de un evento, sino de la evolución de toda la disciplina. Además, la presencia de jinetes de talla mundial inspira constantemente a los jinetes mexicanos a superarse, a aspirar a más y a crecer.
4. What impact has the event had on the development of Mexican equestrian sport?
The impact has been clear and very positive. As a result of this event, many other competitions in Mexico have significantly raised their standards. Today, we see local events that are better organized, with improved course design, stronger infrastructure, and a level of quality that is increasingly aligned with international standards.
This is something that makes me very proud, because it’s not just about a single event, but about the evolution of the entire discipline.
At the same time, the presence of world-class riders on our soil becomes a constant source of inspiration. Watching them compete ignites a desire among Mexican riders to improve, to aim higher, and to grow.
It creates a collective momentum an admiration that turns into motivation and that, without a doubt, is shaping a new generation of riders who are more prepared, more competitive, and globally minded.
¿Cuál es la visión a futuro?
Es muy clara: queremos ver a un jinete mexicano ganar el Gran Premio en México. Es un momento que esperamos con ilusión, orgullo y gran emoción. Aunque cada ganador ha sido significativo, hay algo muy especial en ver triunfar a uno de los nuestros en casa y celebrarlo juntos.
Al mismo tiempo, queremos que este evento siga creciendo como una plataforma que acerque a más personas al deporte, que lo entiendan, lo vivan y se apasionen por él.
Se trata de inspirar nuevas generaciones, despertar vocaciones y construir una cultura ecuestre sólida en México. Porque más allá de la competencia, estamos construyendo comunidad y futuro.
5. What is the vision for the future?
Our vision is very clear: we want to see a Mexican rider win the Grand Prix in Mexico.
It is a moment we look forward to with excitement, pride, and great anticipation. And while every winner who has stepped onto this arena has been an honor and carries great meaning for us, there is something deeply special about seeing one of our own triumph at home and celebrating that victory together.
At the same time, we want this event to continue growing as a platform that brings more people closer to the sport. We want people to understand it, to experience it, and to feel passionate about it.
To inspire new generations, to awaken vocations, and to have more and more people fall in love with show jumping its values, its discipline, and everything it represents.
Because beyond the competition, this is also about building a culture, a community, and a future for equestrian sport in Mexico.
