CENTRE OF ATTENTION: HOME CITY TEAM PRAGUE LIONS GCL Championship The Prague Lions team will deserve a lot of attention at the Global Champions Prague Playoffs 2021, especially in the Czech spectator section. This year, except from Czech regular Anna Kelnerová, the team is also represented by the Dutch Leopold van Asten, Jur Vrieling and Marc Houtzager, the Belgian Niels Bruynseels and the Spaniard Sergio Alvarez Moya.

During this year’s Global Champions League, the team has been always stable in the first half of the results list. When the prestigious equestrian series settled in iconic Rome for the second time, Alvarez Moya and Jur Vrieling attacked the first place in the first round, showing that there is certainly nothing to be ashamed of among the equestrian elite and in front of Czech spectators at Prague’s O2 Arena.

The partial triumph from Rome was not the only one for the team this season. The Prague Lions have been in the top five teams several times. For three times – in St. Tropez, Stockholm and Rome – they were fourth. Four times – in Valk-

Když se prestižní jezdecká série podruhé usídlila v ikonickém Římě, atakovala v prvním kole dvojice Alvarez Moya a Jur Vrieling první příčku a ukázala tak, že se mezi jezdeckou elitou a před českými diváky v pražské O2 areně jistě nemá za co stydět.

Dílčí triumf z Říma nebyl jediným, kterým se tým během letošní sezony mohl pochlubit. V pětici nejlepších týmů se Prague Lions objevili hned několikrát. Třikrát – v St. Tropez, Stockholmu a Římě – skončili na čtvrtém místě, čtyřikrát – ve Valkenswaardu, Monaku, Londýně a Římě – na místě pátém.

The Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix is also an indispensable part of the rich Global Champions Prague Playoffs 2021 program. Fifteen riders won their participation in the finals of individual competitions throughout the tour. In the first round, which was hosted by Qatar’s capital Doha, a Belgian member of the Prague Lions team Niels Bruynseels secured his presence in the final. The Spaniard Sergio Alvarez Moya also qualified in Berlin.

The entire Prague Lions team believes that it will shine in the best possible light at home and will win a legitimate place in the equestrian world.

Neopomenutelnou součástí bohatého programu Global Champions Prague Playoffs 2021 je také Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix. Během celé túry si své místenky do finále individuálních soutěží vybojovalo patnáct jezdců. Na první zastáve, kterou hostilo katarské Dauhá, si svou účast zajistil belgický člen týmu Prague Lions Niels Bruynseels. V Berlíně to pak byl také Španěl Sergio Alvarez Moya.

Celý tým Prague Lions věří, že na domácí půdě zazáří v co nejlepším světle a vybojuje nejen pro sebe, ale i Českou republiku, právoplatné místo na jezdeckém výsluní.

Every day, spectators will see other equestrian disciplines and special shows with horses, including performances by foreign riders!

Speed, ferocity and adrenaline - all this will flow throughout the arena from beginning to the end. “In previous years the show was accompanied by a program of light, romance and beautiful dresses. On the other hand, this year we will focus more on the sports side. It is definitely not possible to compare, but even this year the audience will see something they have not experienced at the Prague Playoffs yet,” mentioned Veronika Šimůnková, production show of the program.

Rozhodně to nelze srovnávat, ale i letos představíme divákům něco, co ještě na Prague Playoffs nezažili,“ zmínila Veronika Šimůnková, produkční doprovodného programu.

Another discipline of the accompanying program will be trick riding, the show will be performed by stunt riders from the Trojan Prague stable. The gala show in Prague will also offer competitions for charioteer and their horses that will be presented by Nesvačil’s family in the four-team competition.
