Our fantastic destinations are truly unique in the world of show jumping and Paris is one of the great capital cities which thrills fans each year.

We are delighted to return to the City of Light for another incredible weekend of electrifying team and individual sport as well as a celebration of culture, art and gourmet cuisine.

It is a pleasure to welcome guests and spectators from across the world as we reach the midway point in our 2024 season and look ahead to the thrilling build up to the Finale and GC Playoffs.

I would like to thank our long-time Title Partner and Official Timekeeper Longines for their tremendous support over the years. And I hope all our fans enjoy all the delights of the LGCT of Paris.

Nos destinations d’exception n’ont pas leur pareil dans le monde du saut d’obstacles et Paris est l’une des grandes capitales qui font vibrer les amateurs de sports équestres chaque année.

In 2014, the first edition of the longines paris eiffel jumping took place opposite the tower erected by my great-great-grandfather Gustave Eiffel.

I thus combined the heritage of my father, Emeric Coupérie, horseman and creator of the Jumping de Bordeaux, with that of my mother, Florence Piccioni, great-granddaughter of Gustave Eiffel.

I combined the infinitely personal with the infinitely universal, the horse with the tower, two emblems that speak to everyone, the passion for sport and animals with the energy and joy of our city of Paris!

Urs Fischer, a great artist, celebrates this tenth anniversary with immediate simplicity, playing with the 3 symbolic elements: the horse, the jump and the tower.

One month before the Olympic Games, the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping takes place on the Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle, offering Parisians and tourists alike the chance to experience an enchanted journey through horse country.

May the sound of hooves echo in our hearts, May the clamor rise to the heavens, May the best sublimate dreams, Let the party begin!

En 2014, la première édition du Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping s’installait en face de la Tour Eiffel érigée par mon arrière arrière grand-père Gustave Eiffel.

J’alliais ainsi l’héritage de mon père, Emeric Coupérie, homme de cheval et créateur du Jumping de Bordeaux, à celui de ma mère, Florence Piccioni, arrière petite-fille de Gustave Eiffel.

J’alliais l’infiniment personnel à l’infiniment universel, le Cheval à la Tour Eiffel , deux emblèmes qui parlent à tout le monde, la passion du sport et de l’animal à l’énergie et la joie de notre ville de Paris!

C’est Urs Fischer, immense artiste, qui célèbre ce dixième anniversaire avec une simplicité immédiate, jouant avec les 3 éléments symboliques, le cheval, le saut, la tour.

Un mois avant le grand rendez-vous de 2024, c’est sur la Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle que le Longines Global Champions Tour-Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping donne rendez-vous à tous les promeneurs, parisiens ou touristes pour vivre un voyage enchanté au pays des chevaux.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping is moving to a new venue ! From June 21 to 23, equestrian competitions enthusiasts and amateurs alike will be meeting on the Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle in the Bois de Boulogne.

Just one month before the opening of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, this competition will bring together the best athletes and exceptional horses for three days of unforgettable competition.

Like every year, the sporting event will not be the only attraction: Parisians will also be able to enjoy animations, shows and a village built around the world of horses.

I’d like to wish a very happy anniversary to this event, which has become a must-attend, particularly thanks to the unfailing commitment of Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel, to whom I’d like to extend my warmest greetings.

Pour célébrer son dixième anniversaire, le « Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping » change d’adresse ! Du 21 au 23 juin prochain, c’est donc sur la plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle, dans le bois de Boulogne, que vont se retrouver les passionnés comme les amateurs de compétitions hippiques.

The 2024 Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping is the perfect setting to showcase the new Mini DolceVita models with exclusive double tour straps. With its discreet profile, classic styling, and aesthetic variations that are at once timely and timeless, this collection exquisitely expresses, in equal parts, Longines’ quiet luxury and elegance.

Available in various sizes and colours, these models are equipped with straps that are designed exclusively by Longines and encircle the wrist in comfort and softness. A subtle reference to the equestrian world so dear to the Swiss watch brand, the holes in the straps are numbered in hot-press printing from 1 to 6, just like the stirrup leathers that, as the name suggests, connect the saddle to the horse’s stirrups.

Presented in a stainless-steel rectangular case measuring 21.50 mm x 29.00 mm and equipped with a high-precision L178 quartz movement, the new Mini DolceVita models are available in six variants as elegant as they are unique. Three versions sport a silvered rectangular Roman dial distinguished by its flinqué decoration. These models are distinguished by a double tour strap in Nappa leather in a choice of colours: black, beige gold with ivory topstitching, or pink. The two latter models are adorned with 38 Top Wesselton diamonds. A further three variants are available with a circular silvered sunblasted Cosmo dial. In an expression of the collection’s contemporary elegance, these models sport Nappa leather straps in a choice of colours: red, orange or green.

This contemporary jewel watch collection has an impressive lineage: it was inspired by a Longines legend created in 1927 and, of course, the original DolceVita collection.

The 2024 Longines Global Champions Tour marks the commencement of the ultimate individual championship visiting 15 destinations worldwide, with an additional bonus event marking the 16th event of the year - the GC Playoffs, this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Horses and riders face challenges in technical courses, diverse arenas, and intense competition. Top equine and human talent compete across Asia, Europe, The Americas, and the Middle East, starting in Doha and travelling to prominent locations like Miami Beach, Mexico City, Monaco, Paris, Shanghai, and more

The coveted Longines Global Champions Tour World Champion title, won by Harrie Smolders in 2023, is at stake. A secondary race for glory involves winning a Golden Ticket, qualifying for the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Playoffs in November. Only 15 tickets are available, awarded through victories in LGCT Grand Prix classes at each stage.

The LGCT Grand Prix, a highlight of each event, features jumps set at 1.60m. Riders can choose horses based on suitability for each event, and 40 horse-rider combinations qualify for each LGCT Grand Prix through a 5* class. Points are awarded in the LGCT Grand Prix at each stage throughout the year, contributing to the overall championship ranking, with riders competing for a share in an extensive prize fool. Each rider’s best 8 scores throughout the season count to their points tally.

Each LGCT Grand Prix winner secures a Golden Ticket for the LGCT Super Grand Prix, adding excitement to the 16-leg tour and the quest for the Champion of Champions title in 2024 awarded at the 16th stage.

Le Longines Global Champions Tour 2024, qui marque le début du championnat individuel par excellence est ponctué de 15 étapes aux quatre coins de la planète, avec un événement supplémentaire marquant le 16ème événement de l’année : les GC Playoffs, cette année à Riyad, en Arabie saoudite pour la première fois.

Chevaux et cavaliers relèvent les plus grands défis sur des parcours techniques lors des épreuves palpitantes. Les meilleurs couples s’affrontent sur différentes carrières à travers l’Asie, l’Europe, les Amériques et le Moyen-Orient, en commençant par Doha et en se rendant dans des lieux uniques tels que Miami Beach, Mexico, Monaco, Paris, Shanghai et bien d’autres encore.

Le titre tant convoité de champion du Longines Global Champions Tour, remporté par Harrie Smolders en 2023, est en jeu. Une deuxième bataille se joue dans la compétition : chaque concurrent aura à cœur de décrocher sa place pour le Super Grand Prix du Longines Global Champions Tour lors des Play-offs GC Playoffs en novembre. Seules 15 places sont en jeu, et elles seront attribuées aux vainqueurs des Grands Prix LGCT de chaque étape.

Le Grand Prix LGCT, le point d’orgue de chaque événement, comprend des obstacles de 1,60 m de hauteur. Les concurrents choisissent leurs chevaux en fonction de leurs aptitudes et des spécificités de chaque épreuve. 40 couples se qualifient pour chaque Grand Prix LGCT à l’issue d’une épreuve de niveau CSI 5*. Des points sont attribués lors de chaque étape du Grand Prix LGCT tout au long de l’année, ce qui permet d’établir le classement général du championnat alors que les participants s’affrontent pour une dotation d’exception. Les huit meilleurs résultats de chaque cavalier, enregistrés pendant la saison, sont pris en compte pour calculer son nombre de points.

Chaque vainqueur d’un Grand Prix LGCT se qualifie pour le Super Grand Prix LGCT, ce qui rend le circuit de 16 étapes et la quête du titre de Champion des Champions 2024 remis lors de la 16ème étape, encore plus passionnants.

SHOW JUMPING’S GREATEST TEAM CHALLENGE

This GCL season promises excitement with the roster of meticulously selected teams competing in a 15-event championship, with a bonus additional event at the GC Playoffs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Team Owners and Managers focus on strategic refinement for a highly charged season, with a format combining Round 1 and Round 2 on the same day with no drop score.

Launched in 2016, the GCL features global teams with at least one U25 per team, fostering young talent. Each tour stop includes two rounds, and combined scores from Round 1 carry into Round 2.

The no-drop-score format simplifies team competition for new audiences. Round 1 is a CSI 5* 1.55m class, and a short break allows strategic changes before the CSI 5* 1.60m Round 2. Teams earn points at every stage throughout the year, leading to the championship Final. The top four teams post-Final earn a fast track to the GC Playoffs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the GCL Super Cup Semi-Finals allowing them to skip the knockout Quarter-Finals and keep the horsepower fresh.

QUICK FACTS:

Each team can have three riders per event, with two competing in each round.

• Teams carry penalties from Round 1 to determine Round 2 starting order.

• The GCL winners of that stage have the fewest combined penalties and quickest Round 2 time.

GC Playoffs feature a Super Cup QuarterFinal, Semi-Final, and Final.

The winning team after the 3 knockout rounds are crowned GCL Super Cup winners in the ultimate showdown.

Préparez-vous à une saison incroyable de la GCL avec des équipes rigoureusement sélectionnées qui s’affronteront lors d’un circuit de 15 étapes, avec un événement supplémentaire aux GC Playoffs à Riyad, en Arabie Saoudite, pour la première fois. Les propriétaires et les responsables d’équipe peaufinent leur stratégie en vue d’une saison qui s’annonce intense. Le format de compétition comporte deux manches qui se déroulent le même jour, sans drop score(le fait de ne pas compter le moins bon résultat de chaque équipe dans le calcul de son total).

La GCL a été lancée en 2016, et réunit des équipes internationales comptant au moins un cavalier de moins de vingt-cinq ans, l’objectif étant de mettre en avant des jeunes talents. Chaque épreuve de la GCL comprend deux manches et les scores cumulés lors de la première manche sont reportés lors de la seconde.

Le format sans drop score permet aux non-initiés de comprendre la compétition par équipes plus facilement. La première manche se court sur un parcours de 1,55 m de niveau CSI 5*. Une courte pause permet d’effectuer des changements stratégiquesavantladeuxièmemanchequisecourt sur un parcours de 1,60 m de niveau CSI 5*. Les équipes cumulent des points à chaque étape tout au long de l’année, jusqu’à la finale du championnat. Les quatre meilleures équipes à l’issue de la finale accèdent directement aux GC Playoffs de Riyad en Arabie saoudite et disputeront les demi-finales de la GCL Super Cup. Elles évitent ainsi les quarts de finale à élimination directe qui leur permet de garder leurs chevaux en forme.

EN BREF :

• Chaque équipe peut sélectionner trois cavaliers par événement, dont deux concourent lors de chaque manche.

Les équipes conservent les pénalités de la première manche afin d’établir l’ordre de départ de la deuxième manche.

Les vainqueurs de cette étape de la GCL sont les concurrents qui ont le moins de pénalités cumulées et le temps le plus rapide sur la deuxième manche.

• La Super Cup des GC Playoffs comprend un quart de finale, une demi-finale et une finale.

• L’équipe la mieux classée à l’issue des 3 manches éliminatoires remporte la GCL Super Cup lors de l’ultime confrontation.

For its 10th edition, the LONGINES GLOBAL CHAMPION TOUR - LONGINES PARIS EIFFEL JUMPING, has asked the famous Swiss-born visual artist, Urs Fischer, to design its 2024 poster;

The artist creates a poster which plays with the three key elements of the event : the horse, the jump and the Eiffel Tower - to appeal to the widest possible audience.

He highlights the popular and immemorial images which the horse as well as the Eiffel Tower are part of. It “has become a form with an iconic aura.” confides Urs, who recently exhibited his work at Place Vendôme, and whose monumental works marked the opening of the Fondation Pinault in Paris. For him “The Eiffel Tower is one of those extraordinary monuments that link earth and sky. Its power in the collective unconscious is spectacular.” It’s this universality and immediate simplicity that the artist wanted to convey in his poster. He plays with the aesthetic and symbolic dynamics of the three elements that make it up envisaging them one by one as graphic elements, vectors of emotions, that can almost swap places

Pour sa 10ème édition, le Longines Global Champions Tour - Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping a fait appel à Urs Fischer, pour réaliser son affiche 2024. L’artiste plasticien d’origine suisse, a créé une œuvre qui joue avec les trois éléments clés de l’événement : le cheval, le saut et la Tour Eiffel, pour s’adresser au plus grand nombre.

Ilmetenavantlesimagespopulairesetimmémoriales dont fait partie le cheval mais aussi la Dame de fer. Cette dernière “est devenue une forme à l’aura iconique”, déclare Urs, récemment exposé place Vendôme et dont les œuvres monumentales ont marqué l’ouverture de la Fondation Pinault à Paris. Pour lui, “Elle fait partie de ces monuments extraordinaires qui font le lien entre la Terre et le ciel. Sa force dans l’inconscient collectif est spectaculaire”.C’estcetteuniversalitéetsimplicité immédiate que l’artiste a souhaité transmettre dans l’affiche. Il joue avec la dynamique esthétique et symbolique des trois éléments qui la compose, et les envisage tour à tour comme des éléments graphiques, vecteurs d’émotions, pouvant presque interchanger leur place.

After a top-10 finish in 2023, the Istanbul Warriors, powered by Carpe Diem, are entering their second year of GCL competition and bringing back a majority of their experienced squad from previous seasons. Using team spirit to their advantage, the Warriors have their eye firmly fixed on the top of the GCL leaderboard in 2024.

“I believe it is important to keep the relationships we’ve established,”says Team Owner/Rider Efe Siyahi. “Everyone istransparentandopenabouttheirwishes.

With one year already under their belts, Siyahi hopes to take advantage of the lessons learned during 2023 to make some tactical improvements this season. “We’re planning to be better organized and this year, hopefully,

As a rider for Turkey, Siyahi earned a 2nd place last winter in the 1.55m Grand Prix at LGCT Doha with Calvino 16, and helped the warriors to their second of two podium finishes last season in Rome. He did so alongside teammate Abdel Saïd of Belgium, a regular competitor on the GCL circuit since 2017 for teams including the Cannes Stars, Rome Gladiators, and London Knights. Saïd, who won the 2024 LGCT Grand Prix of Doha aboard Bonne Amie, is also a veteran of championship-level competition alongside teammate Andreas Schou of Denmark.

For his part, Schou jumped clear aboard Darc De Lux for the team this April at GCL Miami, and was instrumental to the Warriors’ first podium finish last season at GCL Cannes—a feat Siyahi looks forward to repeating at other venues. “I really believe we can be on the podium again—or in the top!”

Additionally, the Istanbul Warriors will field some fresh faces in the form of France’s Olivier Robert, who is making his return to GCL competition after riding for the St. Tropez Pirates in 2019 and 2022.

“Olivier is a very strong rider and always has very good results in the Global Champions League, so we are very happy to have someone like him on our team,” says Siyahi, noting that he is also excited about the talented horses Robert will be bringing into the fold this season.

“Of course, we want to use him as much as possible,” he adds of Robert, who, like his teammates Saïd and Schou, is currently ranked among the top-100 riders in the world. Finally, U25 rider Géraldine Straumann of Switzerland— who is coached by Schou—also brings an impressive string of horses to the Warriors bench, including the 12-year-old Holsteiner gelding Long John Silver 3. “We are very happy to have Géraldine on the team,” says Siyahi. “She has a verystronggroupofhorsesandisdoingquitewell.”

And while Siyahi, himself, wears many hats as owner, rider, and sometime-manager, he says the team comradery among the Warriors makes his work both enjoyable and motivating. “Allmyridersareveryhelpfulandarewillingto dowhat’sbestfortheteam,sothatmakesmylifeeasier.

“I think what makes us strong and a bit different is that I really try to have close [bonds] and be friendly and open with our team members and their needs,” he continues.

LA RANDONNÉE ÉQUESTRE DU LONGINES PARIS EIFFEL JUMPING

For its 6th edition, with the support of the Île de France region, more than 80 horses will invade the west of Paris for an equestrian hack. Open to both experienced riders and walkers, the Route Eiffel is a unique way to discover the 850 hectares of biodiversity in the Bois de Boulogne.

On Sunday June 23rd, the Route Eiffel will take place on the Bois’ bridle paths for a ride of around 18km, finishing with a fanfare in the arena of the 10th edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour - Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, in the Plaine de jeux de Bagatelle. An occasion to support the association Hope.

Pour sa 6ème édition, avec le soutien de la Région Île-de-France, une soixantaine de chevaux envahiront le plus vaste lieu de détente de l’ouest parisien à l’occasion d’une randonnée équestre.

Ouverte aux cavaliers émérites mais aussi aux personnes à pied, la Route Eiffel propose un itinéraire pour découvrir de manière inédite les 850 ha de nature et biodiversité du Bois de Boulogne, véritable poumon vert de la capitale.

Le dimanche 23 juin, la Route Eiffel prend ses quartiers sur les pistes cavalières du Bois pour une promenade d’environ 18 km avec une arrivée en fanfare sur la piste de la 10ème édition du Longines Global Champions Tour - Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, dans la Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle. L’ENVOL is an association recognised as being of public interest. It organises programmes adapted to young patients aged 6 to 25 and their families. Since 1997, it has been helping them to find strength and confidence to live better during or after the illness and to break the isolation.

L’ENVOL accompanies more than 7,000 beneficiaries free of charge each year through its adapted stays, in-hospital workshops, recreational outings and activity kits.

Association reconnue d’utilité publique, L’ENVOL organise des programmes adaptés aux jeunes malades de 6 à 25 ans et à leur famille. Depuis 1997, elle leur permet de trouver force et confiance en eux pour vivre mieux pendant ou après la maladie et de rompre l’isolement.

L’ENVOL accompagne gratuitement plus de 7000 bénéficiaires par an au travers de ses séjours adaptés, ateliers à l’hôpital, sorties récréatives et kits d’activités.”
