The world’s premier show jumping series celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and continues its expansion to new horizons taking the sport to new fans across four continents from the Middle East to the Americas and from Asia to Africa.

This year we are thrilled to celebrate two milestones in our evolution by marking the 20th anniversary of LGCT and the 10th anniversary of GCL. These top-level series continue to thrive and are built on the solid foundations of decades of experience and innovation.
Our circuit now spans four continents and later this season we will launch a new landmark event at the Pyramids in Egypt, continuing our momentum to reach new countries and new audiences for the future benefit of show jumping.

During the 2026 Longines Global Champions Tour, the Swiss watch brand Longines is proud to present a model from the redesigned HydroConquest collection. Building on nearly two centuries of excellence in Swiss watchmaking, the new generation blends contemporary aesthetics with proven performance, embracing bold refinement for every pursuit. Four new dial variations and five striking ceramic bezel colours are complemented by a newly introduced Milanese mesh bracelet.
Since its introduction in 2007, the HydroConquest collection has embodied Longines’ distinctive approach to watchmaking, combining robust functionality with the understated elegance that defines the brand. Drawing inspiration from maritime adventure while maintaining refined design principles, these timepieces have established themselves as sporty companions that transition seamlessly from active pursuits to elegant occasions.
The comprehensively reimagined HydroConquest line features automatic models in two versatile sizes. The 39mm and 42-mm stainless-steel cases deliver contemporary proportions that balance presence with wearability. Five
ceramic bezel colours frame these dials: classic black, blue and slate grey are joined by two vibrant new shades – verdant green and luminous blue. With a screw-in crown and robust construction, these timepieces offer a water resistance of up to 30 bar (300 metres).
At the heart of each watch beats an exclusive Longines automatic calibre, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a silicon balance-spring and innovative components that deliver exceptional precision, making it up to ten times more resistant to magnetic fields than ISO 764 standards require. With a power reserve of up to 72 hours, this movement exemplifies Longines’ dedication to both performance and reliability.
Marking a significant innovation for the collection, three additional references debut on Milanese mesh bracelets crafted from high-quality stainless steel, featuring a fullbrushed finishing with polished sides, thus completing the sophisticated explorer aesthetic that bridges heritage and modernity.

YOUR BACKSTAGE PASS TO THE ULTIMATE INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE
The Longines Global Champions Tour is the pinnacle of individual show jumping, bringing together the world’s best riders and horses to compete for the ultimate title. Spanning 17 iconic destinations across Asia, Europe, The Americas and the Middle East, the LGCT is a global journey that tests skill, precision and strategy at every stage.
With up to €40 million in prize money on the line in 2026, the competition is fiercer than ever. Riders collect points throughout the season, with only their best eight results counting towards the overall standings. At the end of the season, the rider with the highest total is crowned the Longines Global Champions Tour Champion.
How It Works – The Road to Victory
At each LGCT event, 40 riders qualify for the LGCT Grand Prix, tackling technical 1.60m courses designed to challenge the very best. Winning an LGCT Grand Prix is a defining moment, earning 40 championship points and significantly boosting a rider’s title ambitions.
The Golden Ticket
Every LGCT Grand Prix winner secures a Golden Ticket to the LGCT Super Grand Prix at the GC Playoffs — a oneshot showdown against the season’s elite, competing for a share of the €1.25 million prize fund. If a rider has already qualified, the ticket passes to the next highest-placed competitor.

SHOW JUMPING’S ULTIMATE TEAM SHOWDOWN
GCL is show jumping’s premier team competition, where the world’s best riders join forces to compete across a 17-stage global season, culminating in the high-intensity finale at the GC Playoffs of the GCL Super Cup. Launched in 2016, GCL revolutionised the sport by introducing a team format, allowing riders of different nationalitiesincluding senior stars and U25 rising talent - to compete together under one team banner.
Inside a GCL Team
Each of the 17 teams is made up of six riders, including at least one U25 athlete, and is guided by a team manager who makes key tactical decisions throughout the season. Mid-season transfers allow teams to adapt and strengthen as the championship unfolds.
At each event the team can send three riders but only two riders compete in each round. The team mangers can decide to switch horse or riders between round 1 & 2.

How GCL Works
Each GCL event follows a two-round, same-day format with GCL Round 1 held at CSI5* 1.60m and Round 2 CSI 5* 1.55m level:
• Round 1: All 17 teams compete
• 2 riders per team, 2 riders per round, final score is total of riders results from both rounds
No drop score, every fault counts
Only 10 teams qualify for round 2!
Round 2: The final showdown - no drop scores, every fault counts
• Best 10 teams from round 1
• Score from round 1 is carried over to round 2
• Round 2 decides the final standing
If teams finish on equal penalties, the fastest Round 2 time decides the winner. A stage victory earns 30 championship points, making consistency critical throughout the season.
The Road to GCL Glory
At the end of the regular season, the team with the most points is crowned GCL Champion. The season then reaches its climax at the GC Playoffs, where the top teams battle through a three-round knockout GCL Super Cup, competing for a share of €10 million in prize money.

IN SHOW JUMPING
Jan Tops had a game changing vision for the future of show jumping and was determined to fire up an extraordinary revolution.
He had achieved Olympic gold and developed a worldwide network as a successful horse breeder and dealer. But that was just the beginning.
His mission was to create a phenomenal global equestrian circuit to transform every aspect of show jumping: expansion to new countries and unmatched iconic venues; record-breaking prize money; breakthroughs in TV coverage; transformational facilities and hospitality. He wanted all stakeholders to ultimately benefit from this new show jumping universe.
In 2006 Global Champions Tour was born.
Fast forward to 2026 and there is much to celebrate in this 20th anniversary year.
With grit and unrelenting hard work, inspired by the values of his parents, Jan never let up in his mission, overcoming major obstacles to change the game.
Unique locations joined the calendar. Jumping crossed continents taking place in breathtaking venues, which before had seemed impossible. Exciting early destinations included Monaco by the famous yacht harbour, Arezzo and Palm Beach and in 2010 under the beautiful modernist architecture of Valencia’s City of Arts and Science. In 2014 Qatar’s incredible Al Shaqab entered the circuit triggering a huge expansion in the sport in the Middle East.
GCT and Longines announced a significant title partnership and TV coverage broke new ground with Eurosport and CNN broadcasting the series.
After three years of complex negotiations a landmark new event in Shanghai was launched in 2014 - international sport horses in China for the first time ever and a major new market in show jumping. The same year the Eiffel Tower in Paris became another iconic jewel in the calendar followed by the mind-blowing stage of Miami Beach by the Atlantic Ocean in 2015. Major cities and capitals like London, New York, Rome, Madrid and Mexico City joined this bold new chapter reaching new audiences.
The milestone launch of the GCL team championship series 10 years ago was another game changer and Jan’s insistence on an under-25 rider in each team provided a ground-breaking platform for future champions. In 2018 the first GC Prague Playoffs stunned all those taking part at the O2 Arena where spectacular entertainment marked another leap into the future.
Stunning VIP hospitality, never before seen in show jumping, was introduced, including the multi-level luxury
lounges at Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard. Royal Families, business leaders, generations of the world’s wealthiest families and sponsors, came to the unique environment.
Facilities for horses, with welfare at the heart of everything, were constantly upgraded. Riders could win life-changing prize money for the first time like other modern sports. Grooms were celebrated for their precious role behind the scenes. Horse owners and breeders were recognised.
The positive ripples of the revolution spread far and wide. Mission accomplished - and with another landmark event at the Pyramids in Egypt announced this season.
Now a new decade and a bold new mission, as the evolution continues to take show jumping and its unique lifestyle to even greater heights.

As the Longines Global Champions Tour enters a landmark anniversary championship season, the 2026 poster series defines the visual identity of the 2026 season – marking 20 years of LGCT and 10 years of the GCL.
Created by young artist Aldo Sacchetti, the series features one hand-painted artwork for every event on the 2026 calendar. Each poster is created individually, capturing the emotion, movement and elegance that define Global Champions at each destination, while forming a cohesive creative language across all 17 stages.
At the heart of every illustration is the horse – portrayed not only as an elite athlete, but as a work of art in motion. “Everythingdrawsmetothehorse,” Aldo says. “The roundness of the neck, the perfection of the head, the tail – every part.”
Hand-drawn and painted before being digitised, the posters bring warmth, individuality and craftsmanship to an anniversary season that honours legacy while looking forward.
