An old-fashioned community celebration, the city and the Edina Community Foundation present a parade with marching bands, veterans, floats, costumed characters and more. What better way to end the day than with a glittering display of fireworks?

TORCHLIGHT CONCERT Celebrate summer with an annual ode to warmer weather on the second Sunday of August. The ultimate family-friendly event in Centennial Lakes Park is free and a treat for all ages. Snacks and treats including popcorn, drinks and ice cream abound. The celebration also features antique cars, vintage piano-playing and a “mechanical man” movement performance. Enjoy a twinkling light show coordinated by the Edina Model Yacht Club—at sundown, lighted boats dart across the water against the backdrop of a built-to-scale lighthouse. Top off the night with a musical performance and a fireworks finale.
