What inspired you to open Studiiyo at 50th & France? The moment I walked into the spaces at 50th & France, I felt the energy and knew they perfectly aligned with my vision for the new Studiiyo. Choosing a location in my own community—close to home, my kids’ schools, and surrounded by familiar, supportive retail neighbors— made the decision an easy and exciting one.

How would you describe the concept behind your store?

An elevated retail experience blending art, fashion, culture, and sneakers all under one roof. A finely curated space which sparks curiosity and conversation. A place that feels like home and most importantly, one that helps support our local community through excellent customer service, unique events and collaborations, and givebacks to those in need.

What types of products and brands can shoppers find here?

We are the top destination in Minnesota for the top footwear

brands such as Jordan Brand, Nike, Converse, Puma, Asics, Merrel and more, as well as fashion/apparel pieces from brands that span the globe.

How do you create a unique and inviting shopping experience? By blending my global perspective with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service.

With a diverse, compassionate team that goes above and beyond, we foster genuine connections and often see new friendships form through the events we host.

What do you love most about being part of the Edina community? What I love most about being part of the Edina community is connecting with families, fellow business owners, and local schools to create meaningful collaborations that support our youth. What can guests expect from Sweet Paris’ new Galleria location? We aim to usher our guests away from their daily hustle and bustle and transport them to a unique and delectable dining experience; no passport needed. Do you have any menu items or drinks that are local favorites?

Since opening in Minnesota, our top local favorite has been the "Apple Cinnamon Crème Brûlée Crêpe"—torched vanilla cream with caramelized apples, dulce de leche, and cinnamon. Another standout is "The Minnesotan," filled with mozzarella, bacon, sausage, otatoes, scrambled eggs, and fresh jalapeños.

What makes your crêpes and café offerings unique? While some may see crêpes as simple, we aim to elevate them with fresh ingredients, unique flavor profiles, and a celebratory atmosphere. We chatted with Store Manager Ryan Wojciak to learn what makes this store stand out—read his insights below!

What makes the Edina Kowalski’s a special place to shop? Kowalski’s is a local family-owned Minnesota Grocer going on 40+ years starting with our Grand Ave Location in 1983. Over the years we have fostered numerous relationships with local and specialty food producers to bring our customers a variety and quality of foods not easily found elsewhere.

Can you tell us about some favorite items made right in-store? A few of my favorites are the cinnamon morning rolls in the bakery-they are the perfect pairing for a cup of coffee in the morning. As far as steaks go, our Akaushi New York strip steaks are my favorite. High in unsaturated fat, they have a light clean flavor with a tender moist bite that is unmatched by most steaks you would find even at a premium steak house.

How do you create the fresh and ready-made foods customers love? A lot of our most popular

items are made right in-store by our bakers, butchers, and deli team. We still bake our own bread and cookies, cut our own steaks, grind our own burgers, and make our sandwiches fresh every day.

How does Kowalski’s connect with and support local makers?

Our team is constantly out in the world—locally, nationally, even internationally—discovering amazing new products and makers. Thanks to the relationships we’ve built, we’re constantly discovering exciting local creators and unique finds you won’t see anywhere else.

What’s one thing first-time shoppers shouldn’t miss at your Edina store? Don’t leave without trying our made-to-order burger bar in the deli! Akaushi burgers, grilled just how you like them, piled high with your favorite toppings, and served with freshmade fries!

Kowalski’s Pizzeria Pezzo is all about honoring the great pizza traditions of Italy, New York, and Chicago while giving guests an experience that feels both handcrafted and heartfelt. Every dish is made in their true “fromscratch” style — from house-made mozzarella and fresh-daily dough to sauces crafted with locally sourced and organic ingredients. It’s pizza created pezzo per pezzo (piece by piece), with an attention to detail you can taste in every bite.

The restaurant was originally inspired by the passion of Chef Gary Bougie, whose lifelong love for creating the perfect pizza shaped the earliest days of Pezzo.

After his passing, the vision was carried forward by his wife, Keri Bougie, along with culinary director Mac Morrison. Together, they’ve continued building a warm, welcoming, family-oriented dining experience rooted in tradition, quality, and community.

What makes Centennial Lakes Park such a special place for both residents and visitors?

Centennial Lakes Park is such a great place for both residents and visitors because there’s something for everyone. The walking trails are always popular, and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax. It’s fun to ice skate in the winter, play the putting course, or catch a concert. One of my favorite things in the summer is the farmer’s market!

Whenever I’m out in the park, people just seem happy—it’s truly a place to unwind and enjoy.

What activities can guests enjoy throughout the seasons?

In spring, summer, and fall, visitors can enjoy the putting course, paddleboats, or even go fishing. There’s also more than 80 concerts each summer!

When winter arrives, the lake transforms into a skating rink.

No matter the season, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

What’s one thing first-time visitors shouldn’t miss at Centennial Lakes Park? Out of all the cool things in Centennial Lakes Park I think skating takes the cake! It is so awesome to see people outside in the middle of winter enjoying life. If skating is not in the cards for someone, I think a walk around the lake would be a close second!

How does it feel to be part of so many memorable community moments? I have the best job in the world because I get to see the impact a park has on people! I see a family bringing their child to skate for the first time, a group of moms walking their newborns, and visitors picking produce from local farmers at the farmer’s market. So many memories are made at Centennial Lakes Park, and I am proud people find joy in getting outside and being a part of the community.
