Discovering Beyond the Iconic Landmarks Most travelers come to Torres del Paine for the famous trekking circuits, colors, and iconic landscapes. Our lodge opens access to a different territory: the lesser-known eastern side of the park and Explora’s Conservation Reserve, where wildlife thrives and gaucho traditions endure. From here, travelers experience Torres del Paine away from the crowds while remaining close to its most significant trails and viewpoints. A quieter, more personal way to connect with nature.

A Living Commitment to Conservation Staying at this lodge means being at the heart of Explora’s conservation efforts in Patagonia. Our 6,000-hectare Conservation Reserve is part of the Torres del Paine Biosphere Reserve and serves as a living example of how tourism, science, and local collaboration can restore one of the world’s most iconic wilderness areas. The reserve hosts active landscape restoration initiatives, native species monitoring, and scientific research developed in partnership with local communities and institutions. From the recovery of native grasslands once used for sheep ranching to programs focused on pumas, huemuls, and other native fauna, every aspect of the reserve is designed to safeguard the territory for future generations. Travelers are not just observers of this work — they become part of it. Self-guided trails starting at the lodge door, our Patagonian horse breeding and training program at the on-site stables, and Explorations led by guides deeply familiar with the reserve all offer a direct window into a living conservation project.
